Belle Aire Motel

I decided to stay here based on the reviews.....what a mistake. The showerhead looked nice, but I couldn't get it to shut off, had to call one of the owners to come and shut it off, AND, to turn on the cold water for the sink. Shower curtain smelled of mildew once it got wet. They provide NO amenities, no soap, no cups, no coffee, no shampoo, NOTHING, although they did provide some plastic utensils when I asked for a spoon at check in. When I tried taking a shower the water temperature randomly fluctuated from scalding to freezing and wouldn't adjust. The bed had a memory foam topper. The sheets were old, very thin, and didn't fit the bed properly. Both the sheets and the bedspread had mystery stains. At least there were no bugs....but the worst...the entire bed, and especially the pillows just reeked of stale greasy body odor. I spent the night lying flat on my back so my nose wouldn't get near the pillows, and of course I had to brave the temperamental shower again in the morning. There was a great selection of channels on the TV, but to watch any movies, you had to sign up for the channels with a card. Free tv selection was very meager. There was a mini fridge and a microwave. You can see that the owners are trying to upgrade an old roadside motel, but my room was a dismal failure. For $10 more I could have stayed at the Travellodge, without being required to pay a $40 refundable deposit.

Cleaning around the floor around the toilets. Vacuum under the beds and Make sure all electronics are in working order. Coffee could be helpful
