The breakfast was good. There was no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs. The front desk service was good. They called a taxi for me and were very patient. The hotel facilities were not very good. The bed was too soft and easy to slide.

The hotel was clean, but I booked a double bed room to share with my sister on trip.com and when I paid and got a confirmation that it’s a double room it was not refundable . When I contacted the hotel they said that because they did not have twin rooms available it reverted the booking to double in the system. I contacted trip.con to cancel the booking they said that it was non refundable booking, I explained that it was their system that made the error and not me, the agent said I will contact the hotel and check if they can accept a refund, she got back saying that they have refused and trip.com could not help. I was furious and I had to go and sleep on the sofa bed and this was uncomfortable also the heating was doing some tapping sound as I am light sleeper I could not sleep properly at all.

The receptionist is extremely friendly. Clean room, fresh linen and towels, available teas/coffee and decent breakfast. All you need for a quick getaway without any hassle.
They even provided disposable coffee cup thus you can take out hot drinks right after breakfast.
Thank you for the lovely and helpful staffs.

Location wise Glenrothes Holiday Inn is a bit further from Edinburgh city center and no amenities, unlike Dumferline Holiday Inn. But hospitality and service are more friendly. The available free coffee, hot chocolate and juice drinks is a plus. But hey, the price is much more affordable than others, it is a definitely permanent choice for my frequent Scotland business trips.

We stayed two nights while attending an event nearby. We had an adequate sized room, a comfortable bed and a decent shower room. The breakfast was good and the staff welcoming. It is easily accessible off the main road and there is adequate free parking. There is a Vintage Inn next door where you can have dinner. All in all a decent hotel for a short stay and I would definitely visit again.

It’s in a great area and felt safe with dining opportunities nearby. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was not very good. The eggs and sausages were gross. The toilets don’t flush very well.
