This is the second time I have stayed here for the half marathon in Glasgow. I choose it due to location for the start and finish but also as an IHG hotel where I hold Silver Elite Status. I wasn't recognised as a member at check in which is no big deal it is just other properties I have stayed at recognise your status. However, the checkin was prompt and efficient. Despite being early and asking for a high floor room the member of staff did his best to accommodate my request. The room was very quiet, old but well maintained. There are not that many plug sockets if you need to charge devices but the room was comfortable and the inclusion of a kettle and coffee is a small thing but very much valued. The breakfast was extensive and good quality although the time you choose to go it could be very busy but this is inevitable. Staff are great and replenish stock and clear tables quickly. The hotel has a bar with competitive prices. I would recommend this hotel it you are in Glasgow as only a 15 minute walk to Grorge Square area and the airport bus and numerous decent restaurants.

Thank you to the staff, as a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I felt so safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is clean, stylish and smart. You need your room key to use the lifts so I felt so safe going to my room. I stayed in a double room and it was so spacious! Everything was tidy and well placed. Even though there was a fun fair on the next street it didn’t really bother me when I shut the window. It was my first time staying in an apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend! I didn’t know that having ice in the freezer and cutlery would make me so happy haha. I could chill my water and have a lovely meal in my room without having to fork out for a more expensive takeaway. I used the Tesco express down the street to get myself fresh food. The bathroom had a lovely heated towel Rail too so I had the warmest, fluffiest towel! Down in the lobby they have a Brita water filter, board games, extra kitchen equipment and food and drink. Will certainly return if I ever visit Glasgow again!

Having stayed here a few times before due to its location and reasonable price, I was left disappointed this time. I had booked this hotel because for some reason every hotel in Glasgow that weekend was unusually expensive. Hotels I would have expected to pay >£100 were £150/180. The jury’s was £111. A warm welcome from reception staff and the main lobby is modern and clean. The room we were allocated (618) was a bit dated. It was spacious because it was an accessible room, not at our request so maybe why it was cheaper than others. The above two points didn’t really bother us because it was just somewhere to sleep as we were attending a gig. Unfortunately we did not sleep very well. The windows didn’t do enough to soundproof the outside street noise, the walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours talking, plugging and unplugging electrical items- all minor quiet stuff which you shouldn’t really be able to here. Our room had a buzzing noise coming from the vent in the room which kept us awake til 7.30am… and then the neighbours started getting ready to check out. We never complained during the night because we were so tired after being out all night and the noise was intermittent so just when you thought you were back to sleep, it started again. The room was clean but as I said dated, and for this reason I don’t think I’d chose to stay here again.

Fantastic service by concierge, felt very welcomed especially since we are asian and other hotels make me feel otherwise.
1 lift was down and there were only 2 so it takes a while, but wasn’t an issue for us since we stayed only on the 3rd floor. Surrounding of the hotel was having construction but was convenient to get to central station!

My wife and I planned a night out in Glasgow for our friends 40th birthday and booked this hotel for the night. I must say this hotel wasn't what I was expecting the front of house staff were really friendly and professional however that manager needs to learn she is in her position because of the customers and she should learn to speak to the customer in a more professional manner. In the space of 10 minutes while we were checking in we both saw her being disrespectful to 4 different customers. THE BAR and RESTAURANT The choice of drinks were ok however there was no draft beer available. They also had cocktails in the fridge however the barman refused to sell any to us due to the management not allowing him to do so. We paid for morning breakfast and they had a choice of continental or hot breakfast. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. THE ROOM The room was very simple. It had a small TV with standard free channels. The issue I had with the room was the staff only put 1 towel in the bathroom. If there are 2 people staying it should be policy that you get 2 towels. I cannot recommend this hotel until these issues are fixed and I will not be returning.

We stayed one night. Hotel is lovely and very well maintained. Reception staff friendly. Our room was good with amazingly comfy bed. The bathroom however let it down as grout was a bit mouldy and bath matt dirty. Also room didn't appear to have a hairdryer. The Champagne Central bar was great but our cocktails were such a rip off: £10.50 each and had ice to the brim of tall glasses so hardly anything in the glass to drink - shocking and disappointing. Breakfast very good but wouldn't expect to get my own tea or coffee from a machine or make my own toast at a 4 star hotel.

I get what this hotel is trying to do, but it doesn't do it that well! I had good communication prior to my stay, a few texts reminding me. I liked the self check in screen, saves time. The room itself was supposed to be a 'queen' but it was extremely cramped, the bed was a small double at best and there was a weird single bunk bed over the double, which made the room feel so small and oppressive. Floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom were inconvenient. There was a door joining my room to the next which was less than ideal. The whole hotel was very noisy, you could hear doors opening and closing all over the place. There was a lot of noise coming from the room next door which was made worse by the door, as this let more noise in. The party eventually stopped about 3am. This wasn't just me, my colleague had to ask someone to come up and stop a party in the hallway at 1am and he was 2 floors up. No kettle, no water, pretty basic room. This would do for one night maximum IF there was nowhere else.

First the negatives. There weren't any. Now the positives. Hotel receptionists were good throughout our stay, from the warm and cheerful welcome to the cheerful and helpful checkout. The room was bright and clean, breakfast had plenty of choices, including some lovely black pudding. Staff were cheerful and welcoming both mornings during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first evening, the Hazel, lovely food which was not only presented well but very tasty. If being very picky, the amount of the mash potato bursting with flavour that came with the chicken dish was barely there. Talking to the waitress, who was very good, this is a new menu and said she would let the chef know and was grateful for the feedback. The outstanding thing for us was the quality of the bar staff, friendly and quick to take your order, which in our experience is almost unique as the bar staff often let hotels down. Overall an excellent hotel in the heart of Glasgow and would recommend this as a great base for a stay.

GGuest UserI've stayed here a couple of times. On the edge of Glasgow centre but an easy 10 minute walk. Really nice touches of design in the communal areas and in the bedrooms. I got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner in the same restaurant. Only negative was that the dinner service was sometimes a little slow.

GGuest UserWe walked up from Queen Street Station in less than 10 minutes and were met by Dave the Concierge who lifted our bag in to reception. Chelsea on reception was very kind with a great upgrade due to status and that set us up for a marvellous return trip to the Kimpton Blythswood. The old Scottish Automobile Club building is lovely and the sunny views out onto the gardens in front were very welcome, though the windows in the Salon could be doing with a wash...... Our room was superb, very clean with shower and tub. And some Tunnocks wafers to go with our cuppa. Nice touch. During the social hour we were served by Dave who brought our wine up to the Salon - the old 80m long drawing room on the 1st floor. I had hoped the Salon Bar would have been opened after our last stay, but staffing seems to be the issue. Breakfast in the morning was very good with attentive and engaging staff. We left as we arrived with Dave opening the door and taking us to street level, with his usual chat and charm. We felt special. Thanks.

GGuest UserWe thoroughly enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in a beautiful setting attended to by the friendly and informative Argyro who could not have done enough for us. Our room was lovely with an amazing view of the city. The time at the pool was fun and the two gentlemen working there (sorry did not get their names to give them a mention) were very welcoming and helpful. Our room service food (again delicious!!) was brought to us by Alex (and again friendly and welcoming) The breakfast the next day was perfect. There is a vast selection of breakfast options and something to suit everyone’s dietary requirements. We were welcomed to the lounge by Kiamha who was super friendly and accommodating. We cannot fault this stay. The staff do an excellent job and make everyone feel at home and we are already planning our next stay there. Bravo, Hilton Glasgow, and please keep up the good work 👍

JJames DunnillOverall our stay was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but desgined really well and very comofrtable. The hotel had a great atmosphere to it, with lots of young guests and things to do in the reception area. The wifi was hit and miss - trying to make a zoom call in the reception area was nearly impossible even at 7am.

GGuest UserStayed here for one night to attend a gig. First night away as a married couple without the baby! The hotel Is very easy to find excellent location. 24 hour reception was handy as we didn't get back from the gig until very late. The drinks options at the bar were excellent and very reasonably priced. The bed was comfy the room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. I really liked the fact that you had to use an electricity card for power in the room this is a fantastic initiative. The disabled access to the rooms and hotel make it easy to manage around. The handle on the toilet door was the easiest to use and it meant that you couldn't lock yourself in a phobia I have had since young. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious and a huge variety to select from - pastries, cereals, hot food, toast, yogurts and a variety of drinks. Check out was simple and easy. Staff were wonderful.

Another birthday stay at this hotel, club room dinner B&B. Room was spotless, all staff were helpful, friendly, professional and polite. Needed some assistance with a lamp in the bedroom when we arrived and reception addressed this in minutes. Staff were so attentive. Restaurant just launched a new menu and food was outstanding, breakfast also outstanding. I have stayed in numerous Mal hotels for years and Glasgow is my favourite. Lovely little touch with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne for my birthday and a card from the team in room on arrival, thank you!

Private room and shower, I felt safe there. Check out at 11, internet is good and they were friendly!! It was easy to find and there are locations all over, I’d feel comfortable even by myself. The staff asks if you need any recommendations and there was plenty of room for three adults, mate 😉
