Mid City Motor Inn

We arrived to be greeted by a mongrel dog owned by one of the long term residence. There's a car with no number plates, full of trash parked in front of their unit. The guy upstairs did a drug deal right in front of me. The bins are located at the front of the hotel so it's one of the first things you see, they were all overflowing and reeked, they probably don't get cleaned after bin day pick up. We haven't even stepped into our room and we are already dreading what we might find. Well it was as expected, beds weren't made properly, pillows looked like someone threw them on the bed from the doorway, the room smelt dirty and unclean. We used own our bed linen we were fortunate enough to have with us. The so-called drinking glasses were filthy and still had someone's lip impression around the top of the glass. The latch on the door was broken and just hanging there doing absolutely nothing. We had showers and while doing so there was a disgusting odour coming up from the drains. We had booked the unit for 2 nights, we stayed one night as we had driven a long way to get there and it was Good Friday and there wasn't any other accommodation close by. We left very early the next morning, never to return again.

I was hoping the reviews I read would be wrong but sadly the place was even worse. DO NOT stay there. Rooms were grubby, had to wash dishes in the bathroom basin but no plug. No dishwashing liquid or cloths. No broom provided but a note saying you could be charged an extra fee for excess cleaning. The worst thing was the abundance of strange residents who mostly seemed to be drug affected . They were very noisy, fighting and yelling and made the stay rather frightening. I know you get what you pay for but this was ridiculous. The wifi was free but hardly worked. Only positives were fairly comfortable bed and you could have your pet with you.

At first it seemed like a nice place, but then thing's sort of took a nose dive. The bathroom was the worst. The shower head wouldn't stay up, you had to literally hold it in position, then it would drip for sometime afterwards. Some of the motel rooms have permanent residents in them, with their animals, so there was a fair bit of barking from their dogs.One couple got evicted whilst I was there, there was a lot of screaming and yelling and the police turned up as well. What was once a nice place seems now to have fallen to disrepair. The person who checked me in had to ring the owner several times to gdt a code to access me in Wouldn't recommend this property, sorry been l

Definetly consider previous reviews before booking we found the same issues. Only booked as we were traveling with our dog However we will certainly not be returning

Do not stay here. Dirty towels in the bathroom, dirt in the bed, hair everywhere. Noisy people everywhere who let their kids scream until late in the night, cars and shouting, door slamming all night. I was constantly woken up. Messaged the owner to no avail. Left at 5am to continue my journey rather than stay a minute longer. The actual rooms are also much worse than the images on the site. Avoid!!
