Stayed Sunday and Monday nights.Very few guests. It was nice and peaceful and walked the property on Monday. Only issue I had was the dining facilities were closed on Monday. Beautiful decor. Thank you. Staff was awesome and very helpful .

The website that secured our reservation was for a King Sized Suite, but when we got there the hotel told us that us.trip.com stated 'whatever available', even though our res was for a King. Anyways - the staff made some phone calls and we lucked out because someone cancelled at the last second and they got us our room we originally ordered. It was stunning and we will be back, just not thru us.trip.com.

My husband and I stayed at Kohls Ranch in March. It is quaint with historical photos throughout the Ranch. It is not a Doubletree or Hyatt. If you stay here, you stay here for the beauty and simplicity. You stay here to appreciate the kind and friendly personnel and the history of the Ranch. The room was clean with a full kitchen. Wifi was a bit spotty, but good enough. Staying at Kohls Ranch is fantastic, if you want to get away and enjoy the beauty of the area. Hiking area across the road. We will be make additional reservations here soon.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and pretty lodge. Relaxing and fun. The restaurant was good with big portions. Excellent peach cobbler. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

We spent a couple of nights here. We stayed in one of their "Studio Efficiency" rooms. It came with a fridge & microwave. It did not have any type of stove top or oven. We were fine just using the microwave, but we forgot to bring paper plates and plasticware, so we asked the front desk if they had any; they gave us a nice Tupperware-type bin that came with 2 real plates, 2 real bowls, and silverware. If you need to head back to Payson for groceries, or to dine out (Kohl's Ranch does have its own restaurant, but it was closed on the days we were here) the drive back into town takes about 25 minutes. Woods Canyon Lake is also just 18 miles from here in the other direction on AZ-260, again about a 25-minute drive.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. The room was well stocked with everything you need to cook or warm something up. It was also very clean and well maintained. The attached restaurant was also pretty good. My only complaint is that the noise from the wall mounted air conditioner was a little overbearing...very minor. We will certainly visit again.

Had not been to this resort since the 60's. It was fabulous then & even better now. The staff is great. Pool, pickleball courts, cornhole, pitch & putt. Who could ask for anything more? We will return!

Beautiful resort and location in the woods. Exceptionally kept and very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms include very comfortable beds and have very good appliances and amenities. Excellent place for family, couple or solo traveler. Just amazing!
