Enjoyed our stay in Giethoorn, very beautiful surroundings with many canals and bridges recommended to us by the hotel staff. Spacious parking, super friendly owners / staff. Had a comfort room right next to the water with a lovely bath. Had dinner and breakfast there, both very tasty and certainly enough. We will definitely come back, Robby and Myriam

Gastronomic dinner and breakfast in a beautiful setting (terrace and restaurant). But our room no. 16 in the "farm" ("de boerderij") was not at all like on the video on the hotel website: basic comfort, dark, no bedside tables or bedside lamps, old-fashioned bathroom separated from the room. Which justifies the average rating because of the value for money. How can we justify the 4-star rating in this case?

we had a room in the farmhouse. Was a unique experience, only the bathroom needs updating. The breakfast was the same every day but was good. The evening meal was very tasty. The staff are very friendly.

We had made a reservation and received a confirmation but they didn't know anything about it Luckily the room was still available but still not really clean Room was small but good bed and nice bathroom Watching TV is not possible because it just doesn't work Dinner was really a let down The site says that you can choose from meat or fish or vegetarian but it is a fixed menu We didn't understand the choice on a scorching hot summer day Onion soup for dessert Duck as a main course Seems more for autumn to us It certainly wasn't really culinary The duck was dry and the fries and fried potatoes were also very dry Breakfast was fine but why weren't we allowed to have breakfast outside Only when all the tables were full were the guests who arrived afterwards allowed to have breakfast outside All in all not a pleasant experience and therefore definitely not recommended
