The cottage is big, comfy and well-maintained. Just we can find spider web on the pedent light and some small areas. There was very loud outside noise created by a machine from 4am to 6am which made us difficult to sleep. The wine tasting is too fast we dunt have enough time to enjoy. However, the overall experience was good.

We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs. As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Kinross. We arrived to a bottle of Kinross Pinot Noir as a gift in our room. Decided to make the most of the wine tasting at the cellar which was fun. We meet Max who was a waiter on site also trying the wines. He was travelling from Netherlands. Lovely friendly guy, wish him well on his travels. We ordered the chicken and mushroom pie from the menu which was delivered to our room along with a salad and garlic bread...popped the pie in the oven while we enjoyed the hottub. Also delivered to our room, was the pictured dessert plate x 😋 Honestly the comfiest bed we've even slept in. The cottages are set amongst the vines with great views of the autumn trees. Great value for money. Staff were friendly and fun. Look forward to come back. We celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary and we are stoked we chose Kinross for our weekend away.

We had such a relaxing time, was so nice to disconnect and just watch the vineyard, relax in the spa looking at the stars. I was worried that the frozen meal wouldn't be enough and ordered the grazing box as well and I promise this was MORE than enough! Highly recommend for a beautiful weekend away.

Our 3rd time at the Kinross Cottages. We always appreciate the friendliness of the staff - that’s why we keep returning whenever our travels take us to this beautiful part of the world. Special thanks to Katie Franklin who handled all our requests (even before we got there) with graciousness and competence. She welcomed us warmly and made us feel good about being part of the Kinross family. In fact we’re a big part of the Kinross wine family now too as we just joined their wine club. The wine tastings at The Cellar are fun and informative and thanks to Diego - our wine advisor - and his contagious enthusiasm for wine, we ended up buying 5 bottles of wine right after the tasting with 12 more bottles being shipped to us in California as per the wine club’s quarterly shipment. So we will be remembering Kinross long after we’ve gone, looking forward to and toasting the next time we are back at Kinross.

This property is a hidden gem in the wine country north of Queenstown. Beautiful setting, spacious cottage, cooking facilities in room, and some of the best wine in the area My only regret is we only had one night to spend there and it will be very hard to book again for a weekend visit from Texas. Five stars across the biard
