Wat een fantastische plek in het centrum van Gent. Een heel klein hotel met alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. De kamer was prachtig gedecoreerd en het ontbijt op de kamer heerlijk, met alleen maar verse producten. De tuin prachtig verzorgd en de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes met sfeer en oog voor detail ingericht. Het enige wat het heel duur was, was het zwemmen in het binnenzwembad.

The B&B is a mansion from the 18th century. The owners of the building preserved the original atmosphere as it was in that period and decorated it with all the details in mind. Since they are interior designers themselves, this hotel emerged as a work of art. We felt very special during our stay here. The quality of the breakfast and the table setting were magnificent. The room was very nice. The owners Jan&Marc are very kind people. A hotel where you will experience the same atmosphere as the texture of the city of Ghent.

We had a wonderful weekend here and can’t recommend it enough. Beautiful property lovingly restored. The owners were perfect hosts and the hotel and gardens are a calming oasis in the middle of town. We will try to visit Ghent again in a quieter time and will definitely head for the B&B The Verhaegen.

Eine bezaubernde Unterkunft in einem in die Jahre gekommenen Herrenhaus mitten im Zentrum von Gent, mit absolut freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern. Gent ist als größte Studentenstadt Belgiens ein sehr quirliges Pflaster, was ihm einen entsprechenden Charme verleiht.

Jan & Marc are fantastic hosts and you will love their English Spaniel Tombo. The house is filled with gorgeous antiques yet its very cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is a wonderful experience & enjoy the garden at sunset. I have stayed at hotels all over the world & The Verhaegen ranks at the top!

Une ouverture vers un autre monde...le luxe aristocratique!! Accueil des hôtes tout en finesse... Jardin à la française vraiment somptueux !!! Petit déjeuner dans la salle face au jardin à ne pas manquer!!! Mets de qualité, rempli de saveur !!!
