Villa with pool in the Douro Valley

A wonderful property in a stunning location We enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful, modern property. It was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything you could need - including a lovely pool. All correspondence with the owner was fast and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The most special thing, however, was the incredible views. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely villa - stunning views This is a lovely large villa surrounded by a vineyard. As it is the owner's home, it is very well equipped (apart from pillows!) with everything you could need including a large new BBQ. It has a relaxed feel with many of the owners possessions still there. The pool is a little small for adults and big teenagers but perfect for a younger family as it is quite shallow. The only negative for us was a festival/concert on for the first 3 nights which started at 10 and didnt finish til 4am. If this is your thing, you will love it. If not, just check the dates before you book - it is an annual event at the beginning of August. The rest of the week was beautifully peaceful.
