Atlantica Caldera Creta Paradise

The water park was great. The Gogo-bar is the best. Gogo is the bartender. Lovely attitude and great service. I wish that all of you can aklso meet her.

My first ever review. Currently staying here at Caldera Beach and we are pretty disappointed overall. For the price we paid, the experience just isn’t matching up. When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready, so we had to wait over an hour before we could check in. After travelling, that was the last thing we wanted. While we were aware that only the buffet restaurant was included in the all-inclusive package, it still felt really limiting. Out of three restaurants on-site, only one is actually included. The others come at an extra cost or you’re allowed one per stay. Similarly, only one bar is included at night—the other, oddly, is not part of the package and isn’t even open. The games room is extra, you have to pay to play on the games, again more money on top. Service is very minimal. It’s very much a help-yourself setup—you have to get your own drinks and food, and the only table service we experienced was when staff came to clear plates. Housekeeping wasn’t great either. The room was not thoroughly cleaned, and there was a dried yellow stain in the corner of the patio that looked like old animal urine. They also advertise that the minibar is refilled, but all that’s provided is water—and so far, it has never been replaced. We were even left without toilet roll and when we asked for some, they sent an electrician thinking we’d lost power! The bed was uncomfortable too, I’m struggling to sleep at night with back pain from the springs digging into me. The beach is another letdown. The photos online show a beautiful sandy beach, but in reality it’s mixed with debris, and once you step into the water it’s mostly pebbles—not great if you’re expecting a smooth sandy experience. One positive was the pool—it’s large, clean, and perfect for kids to enjoy. Ours loved it and is one of the few highlights of Unfortunately, this is not a 4-star hotel by any means. It’s more in line with a 3-star, and for the price charged, we expected a lot better. We won’t be returning.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Caldera Beach Hotel in Crete! The location is perfect — right by the sea with stunning views and easy access to both the beach and local restaurants. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, and the entire hotel had a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. One of the real highlights of our stay was the poolside bar, where we were lucky enough to meet Aris and Ioanna. They were incredibly kind, warm, and hospitable, always greeting us with a smile and taking the time to make everyone feel welcome.

The hotel is quite run-down and poorly maintained. During our stay in a three-bedroom apartment, the toilet was broken and, despite informing the staff, it remained unrepaired for two full days ( still not fixed) There are very few beach chairs and sunbeds available, making it almost impossible to spend time by the pool or beach unless you wake up extremely early. Guests start reserving spots with towels as early as 7 AM, which is frustrating and unfair. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. I would recommend eating at the restaurant next door or heading into town, where the food and service are of noticeably higher quality.

Fantastic staff!! Gogo brilliant behind the pool bar!! Amazing holiday for a family would highly recommend! What a great hotel!!

We are family of four (two kids of 5 and 8) and had some good visits at this restaurant during our vacation. Very friendly staff and good food. The atmosphere at this restaurant is also very nice, good music and good surroundings. We can really recommend a visit!
