I wish we had read the poor reviews about this hotel before they swindled us for $200. We wanted to book a hotel on Manitoulin Island, but it required ferry service to get there. We didn't want to book the ferry until we knew we had a place to stay, or vice versa. There's no cancellation policy for ferry reservations, so we made reservations for this hotel via Travelocity. The website stated there was no cancellation policy for the hotel (which should have set off red flags in the first place) - then offered us cancellation insurance. We bought the cancellation insurance just to find out the ferry was no longer taking reservations. So we wanted to cancel the hotel booking, but the hotel refused, even though we had no way to get there, and when we called the cancellation insurance company, they said that we couldn't make a claim because we didn't have a ferry booking! This is intentionally set up to defraud people - the cancellation insurance isn't really cancellation insurance except under extremely unlikely events, and the hotel bookings are set up to generate income anytime ferry service is unavailable via cach 22 policy where they always win and the customer always loses. I will never use Travelocity again, and I cannot recommend a hotel that refuses a refund just days after taking a booking with lots of time to re-book with someone else who can arrive without a ferry booking. Dishonest business!

The place needs a lot of Renovation and amenites. Dirty and broken washroom. Shaby look and boring ambience.
