Courtyard Albany

The only complaint we had was the lack of hot water the second night. We had just gone back to the hotel after the funeral for my brother. We were too tired to get dressed and call for a service person or to change rooms. We reported it the next morning at checkout. Otherwise the stay was good.

The staff was phenomenal, I truly enjoyed my stay

Room very comfortable front desk staff ( TRE) very helpful. Do not eat in the cafe. Dinner - cobb salad- was iceberg lettuce, shredded cheddar, tomatoes and croutons. Breakfast - french toast - cold - obviously reheated food service item served without butter - a few partially ripe strawberries and syrup.

The property was clean. Staff was extremely nice. My favorite place to stay in Albany.

We travel frequently for both business and pleasure, and we generally choose Marriott due to our high satisfaction with their properties. However, the Courtyard Albany provided us with our worst hotel experience to date. The curtains were filthy and dingy, and we found an empty beer bottle on the floor of our room. The sheets were also dingy, and the bathroom was deplorable. The only positive aspect of our stay was the superb guest check-in experience. During our stay, the elevator stopped working. Our room was adjacent to the stairs, so we were disturbed all night and morning by the sound of people stomping up and down. Initially, I thought the noise was coming from overhead, but I later realized it was from the stairs when I had to use them myself. I believe we should be reimbursed for our room. I was informed that the hotel's poor condition was due to it being privately owned rather than corporate-owned. Regardless, this hotel does not meet Marriott's standards and is the absolute worst we've encountered.

We have had the best possible experience at this Courtyard. We came in on Easter Sunday and were welcomed by Tre, the manager. From the moment he greeted us with a big smile, we felt instantly at home. The hotel has been updated and the carpet and fixtures are attractive and comfortable. The service was outstanding, from DJ at the desk to the young man at the Bistro. Food there was incredible—much better than typical hotel food. By the time we were ready to leave, we felt we had made some new friends. Go out of your way to stay here with Tre and his staff!
