At check-in, the wrong guest paperwork was presented. Eventually, the correct paperwork was found and completed.The resort was as expected, although much larger than when we visited back in 2004, Within the package which included golf, it would appear there is little remedy to compensate for the event of the courses being deemed unplayable due to weather conditions.The short 3 night stay booked, and coming from overseas, cannot accommodate a 'Rain Check' only a credit for dinner... which for us... was much lower than the value of the green fee!! On return to the UK the hotel remedied the issue eventually.

Almost everything about our stay was excellent. We love the golf courses and the general ambiance of the place is perfect. The service from 9 out of 10 staff is excellent, just need to get that to 10 and it would be faultless. We will be back next year and look forward to it.

rooms spacious but overpriced. Beds very used could do with replacement, one side a lot lower thus make sleeping for 2 people uncomfortable. Shower screens should be replaced, old and hard to close or open.

A gem and golfers' paradise on the Garden Route. Everything about it is exceptional. The facilites are top notch, the golf courses are superb - outstandingly well maintained, there is a good range of dining options and the staff are truly outstanding. We were returning guests and will be booking again for next year - can't wait!

Fancourt is one of those destination resorts not to be missed. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious but no view which was disappointing. The staff were exemplary & without our caddie Phil for our 3 rounds we wouldn’t have enjoyed our golf half as much - he’s a great guy & recommend you try to book him! I marked this review down to 4 because some of the communal amenities need updating. The pool area is looking very tired & even a bit shabby & needs some serious investment. However I would still recommend you put it on your golf booking list.
