I had an incredible experience at this hotel! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The hotel’s amenities, such as the pool were well maintained . The location was at housing area which not suitable for public transport, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay

We love absolutely everything about this hotel. The balcony is amazing and the views are superb. We were very happy with Chinese vegetables cooked by Ruan. Thank you very much!

We booked two rooms, and we opened one at the beginning, and then asked at the front desk, and we gave another one, and the facilities are a bit old

If you can find somewhere to stay apart from this venue, I would advise you to. The overall appearance looks nice but the rooms are very tired and dated. As far as the food is concerned, eat out. I wanted chicken curry last night - no chicken - the buffet had used it all. Then I ordered line fish, no line fish. My husband ordered fish and chips, he asked for his fish to be in crispy batter and his fries also to be crispy. The fish was presented to him grilled and the chips were barely cooked. Vile! I had pasta with sauce - the pasta was only just cooked and the sauce mediocre. A toasted sandwich took nearly an hour to make and was soggy, cold and inedible. The fries were also cold. I ordered English Breakfast Tea and was presented with Vanilla Tea. Something is seriously wrong with this place! Avoid... avoid... avoid. Plus, dirty cigarettes butt's stubbed our on our terrace.

We would like to say a big thank you for our nights stay at the Protea Hotel - King George. We really enjoyed our time there. The little touches like the fruit and chocolate in our room was much appreciated. The room was lovely and comfortable. We had dinner in the lounge, I had the chicken curry and my wife had the fish and we were very happy with our meals and impressed with the dinner overall. The tartar sauce was the best tartar we have ever tasted. We thank you for the great service and our experience at the hotel was overall lovely and enjoyable. We will be back.

Scenic views of the mountains and golf course. Easy check-in: The restaurant has delicious food and a lounge to enjoy a sundowner. Rooms are well kept and clean. Friendly staff and waiters. Overall, it is a pleasant stay for business in George and preferred hotel for corporates.

The hotel was beautiful and safe. Our room was great, spacious and clean. The staff were attentive and friendly. However the food was only okay. Breakfast was a good buffet with an egg bar. Dinner was just ordinary - nice food but not exceptional.

Beautifully renovated bar and pool area, lovely staff, very helpful and accommodating and wonderful surroundings of a golf course with animals running in the evening. Stunning play area for kids. Very nice food and value for money. Family has an awesome stay. Thank you

Great views and overlooking a golf course but very tired hotel, needs an upgrade. Staff however are fantastic, really bothered at breakfast about checking items met a food allergy and the security team on the gate were welcoming and caring. We did not however welcome the unexpected and unasked for 5am on a Sunday wake up call. When I complained that was laughed off. Not impressed. Marriott need to up their game here.

The room was spacious and amenities were good. Bathroom had been recently refurbished. Lovely patio available. Pleasantly surprised that the Hotel was Halaal-friendly. Had been booked to utilise their conference facility, Very decent refreshments. Restaurant was very good quality. Staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. WiFi facility was Free and very functional.

A little known of gem in the heart of George. The staff make the stay extra special as they go the extra mile to ensure our needs are met. - Monique sorted out our check in issue, always very friendly. - The breakfast team sorted our out dietary requirements, Anwin was great with the kids - Dillon made drinks to order. There could be more activities in the kids area and give it a make over, the dart board needs upgrading but there is table tennis and a pool table. Our room was on the first floor, no lifts so bear that in mind. the rooms are spread out - it is not one big hotel, but a cluster of units. Lots of green space in between for kids to play.

Lovely and spacious room. Satisfactory amenities (even though dated). Modern renovated bathroom, very nice - had both a bath and shower. Great to have a private patio. The food was great. Major bonus having Halaal-catered and friendly meals. Staff were fantastic. Friendly, professional and courteous. Special mention of Ikeraam and Anwin
