Casa Ida

Estuvimos una semana alojados en uno de los apartamentos con terraza privada (número 2). Las vistas son increíbles al mar y al teide. Desayunabamos todos los días ahí. El precio de la estancia es bastante económico. En general hemos estado muy a gusto. Echamos en falta una recepción o algún tipo de contacto con el propietario. La limpieza fue aceptable. Sin embargo, olía mucho a humedad y había algún que otro pelo en la bañera. Hubiera sido de agrado disponer de algún producto de limpieza, papel higiénico... para el mantenimiento de la estancia y algún producto de alimentación básico tipo aceite o vinagre. La cafetera estaba rota (la goma está pasada por lo que pierde presión). La instalación de luz requiere una revisión (a veces se desconecta). Espero que se acepten con ánimo de mejora estos consejos. For location, accommodation in Icod de los vinos would be better because to get to Casa Ida you have to go up the mountain and to visit any town you have to go back down the curvy road to Icod de los vinos. Now, the views are spectacular from up there. The parking lot is small and does not fit all the customers' cars. When we arrived we couldn't park the car because a customer had gotten stuck in the parking lot trying to get out. In the end we had to park on the road and carry our suitcases up a very steep hill. At no time did anyone assist us during our stay. Upon entering the house there was a paper with the owner's contact information that we could only contact by WhatsApp and the Wi-Fi password (the signal was so weak that we couldn't use it). It also indicated that there were two stores in the town but they were closed, so it was better to buy what you need in Icod de los vinos. The house we had was a very dark basement with poor lighting. It smelled musty, the bathroom curtains were moldy and the bed was so uncomfortable that we could barely rest. The next day as soon as we got up we sent a message to the owner telling him that we had not been able to sleep in that bed and that we were leaving even though we had another night booked. The owner did not respond to us until a few hours later with this message: “Okay. All the best." I think the customer service is terrible, the owner did not deign to apologize, he did not even want to know our opinion in order to improve the service.
