The rooms are comfy enough, and the A/C, though box type, is not too noisy. Breakfast is OK, and airport pickups are cheaper than a taxi. But... P2800 for the cheapest room is daylight robbery, and you even have to pay P350 extra per night for a fridge. You don't get hand towels, only bath towels. There's no room safe. And both TV (Sky) and wifi (PLDT) are absolutely awful. The TV channels keep breaking up and are almost unwatchable, and the wifi is extremely slow and keeps dropping out completely for minutes at a time. If you stay at this hotel you will end up using your mobile data just to avoid being driven mad by connection dropouts. The in-house wifi won't even load Wikipedia. What is it about Gensan hotels that stops them providing usable wifi? The Royale Hotel wifi is terrible, the Greenleaf wifi is terrible, the Grand Summit wifi is terrible. The only (just about) usable wifi is at the Microtel (which has awful breakfasts and is also seriously overpriced). I come to Gensan several times a year, and now I just resign myself to using massive amounts of mobile data every time I come. Gensan hotels, you are holding your city back.

I booked a king suite with them and when it came time to go I was informed that the king suite was no longer available! With a ”no refund” policy in place, they took my money for a room the didn't even have! So they were willing to pay for my stay at a couple of nearby hotels instead. Both were worse dumps than this one. In their behalf, they were willing to work with me and we settled on a future stay at their hotel in a king suite. The room was not very big for a ”king” suite. TV reception was poor and the Wifi was abysmal. They don't have their own restaurant, instead using the one downstairs located in the little mini mall where they are located. It didn't offer much but it was OK for a quick bite before leaving for the airport. There is a bigger mall across the street, however half of that mall is closed due to a fire resulting from a previous earthquake. There is a 24hr convenience store located in their mini mall for snacks and drinks. I would have expected more for the money, but then this is the Philippines and anyone who has ever read Dickens could learn a ”great” deal about ”expectations”. Ha! (sorry, couldn't resist)

The room is very spacious. The bed is very comfortable. For an overnight stay, we were able to rest and sleep well.
For the breakfast buffet, the food were good. We just wish there were more options and diversity with the viands.
The location of the hotel is also great because it is only a walking distance to malls.
Overall, we had a satisfactory stay. And we will be happy to comeback anytime.

The lights were too dim. Not ideal since we have child. The floor in the bathroom were too slippery not good for children when taking a bath. No floor mats to dry our feet after shower. And no other amenities too boring.

This review is based on the premier room which is P4990/night. The room was basically OK with plenty of storage space and a big desk (but no spare power sockets anywhere near it). The sofa was torn in several places. The wifi was reliable but only about 8mbps. The king bed was actually 2 single beds with a ridge in the middle. The TV signal was bad and the picture kept breaking up. The room curtains don't shut out the light because the A/C unit is too big and gets in the way, and the windows are not double-glazed so the traffic noise is seriously loud. But the worst thing about the room was the bathroom, which was tiny and impractical. There are no spare shelves to put your toiletries, and the shower design causes water to flow all over the bathroom floor. To see the room service menu you have to scan a QR code, but the hotel's website is broken so that doesn't work and you have to get someone to bring the menu to your room. Breakfast was poor quality (pizza? really?) and the breakfast room doesn't seat enough people so you end up waiting around for a table. No fresh juices, only sugar-packed artificial stuff. I saw an espresso machine after breakfast but wasn't offered this choice when seated. Overall, the Avior is extremely disappointing (everything looks pretty but is very badly designed) and I won't use it again. It's definitely way, way overpriced. The premier room is worth maybe P2000/night, no more. I dread to think what the standard rooms are like.

Stayed for the Tuna Festival - hotel is perfectly placed, close to several restaurants and a 7/11 just around the corner. Room was nice and clean although facing the road was quite noisy - very little sound insulation from the single glazed windows. I had to use earplugs due to outside noise. Breakfast adequate. Staff very helpful. At the time construction was taking place on part of the building, very noisy during the day, but that should have been completed by the time of this review - hopefully ! all in all an ok stay & probable would stay here again.

MMichael-lanostaI have been working in the region for over a year, and I have been staying in this hotel for over a week, for a professional stay. The rooms are very comfortable. The service is excellent. You can pay by card at the hotel and in the restaurant. A ticket machine is available in the entrance hall. There is a small, very complete supermarket open 24 hours, where you can also pay by card. The wifi connection is very fast and stable. The sector is also covered by 5G. Having experienced many restaurants in the region, I can say without hesitation that the hotel restaurant is excellent and undoubtedly offers the best value for money in this region. If you love good pizza, this is the place for you! You should know that the hotel is located in a resort by the sea. So there can be lively evenings and music, but only on weekend evenings. In summary, given local standards (sometimes questionable), this establishment is really top notch! I'm extending my stay by a week!
GGuest UserThis is a typical budget hotel. It is actually called TriSeven Hotel or something. Cheaper by about Php100 (or about USD 2.00) if you book directly with them instead of via Red Doorz. The room was tiny, the towels slightly old and worn, the bed and pillows absolutely basic, and there were no free toiletries except for 4 cotton q-tips and one little 3-in-1 bath gel/shampoo. No toilet paper was given. They did give one 350ml of bottled water. Don't expect any breakfast as there is no in-house restaurant. The hotel is less than 10 minutes away from major malls, so that may help a little. Overall, it is a hotel really for backpackers who plan only on a very short stay and not something I would recommend to other types of travelers. Stayed in Room 10 on March 2023.
AaprilgC5639NFLocation is somewhat far from the malls and the ”downtown area”. The room was spacious and clean, but somewhat dark. Provided with a desk, chair and closet. Food was descent. I loved the buffalo wings. The lights in the bedroom were minimal and dark. No refrigerator provided. There was hot and cold shower, but every time you turned on the water, it would initially give off a foul smelling clear water. Service was very good.
伟伟丘克罗曼A nice green location isolated from the downtown mess but not far from it.
A simple local style house with a terrace, a CR, a small kitchen, and a sleeping room with aircon.
Sometimes it's noisy here when local company comes to eat out here like walk INS.
The pricing is reasonable
GGuest UserOne of the best places I've stayed in while traveling. I literally can't find anything wrong with this place. The room's perfect; the windows open to the view of the road, but it's so quiet and peaceful, and you're also greeted with the beautiful yellow bells just outside the windows. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. Nang Yayang was very nice to us when we checked in. Also, the food! We had paksiw fish on our first morning here. Sobrang sarap! Tas tuna omelette on the second morning. Sarap! There's also hot shower, which was the icing on the cake. It's a quaint little place that feels like a home away from home. Will definitely come back here when we're back in town!
GGuest Useri booked familyroom when they pick up my aunt from airport and had eye check up the next day. its huge space , comfortable bed with 2 bunk bed, clean and Quiet place to stay and walking distance to st Elizabeth Hospital and SM gensan .
GGuest UserThe stay was good except for the space was really micro, and didn’t expect this to be that small. The aircon needs to be fixed as it seems to be too loud. It’s an economy hotel and good for brief stay. The rates are good and just as expected. Did not accept credit card payment? The place seems convenient to nearby commercial area
