I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at Hotel Gasthof Zum Kirchenwirt during my attempted stay on September 8, 2024. Upon arriving at 7:23 PM, I found the lobby completely unattended, and despite waiting until 8:16 PM, there was no staff available to assist me. Although some keys were left on the desk, none were assigned to me, and multiple attempts to reach the hotel via phone were completely ignored. When an older staff member finally showed up, his dismissive and unwelcoming attitude was incredibly off-putting. After leaving, I was falsely accused of dishonesty by my booking agent, based on misleading claims made by the hotel. Thankfully, I have Google location history proof confirming my presence at the hotel, which refutes these baseless accusations. This entire ordeal has left me feeling frustrated, disappointed, and undervalued as a customer. I understand the terms of my non-refundable booking, but given the hotel's complete failure to provide even basic service, I strongly believe a refund should have been issued. I've since contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. I urge fellow travelers to think twice before booking here—poor service and baseless accusations are not worth the hassle.
