Tolle Lage, sympathischer Service, den Kindern gegenüber sehr zuvorkommend. Auch gute Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten mit Billard & Tischfußball. Essen sehr schmackhaft, auch mittags mehr als genug, aber in 3 Tagen gab es auch Wiederholungen. Einzig dem Kaffee konnten wir nur wenig abgewinnen, zu bitter, zu wässrig... Durch das duchgänige Buffet kommt trotz des guten Essens leider kein 4*-Flair auf. Saunabereich klein, aber sehr schön! Pool war uns etwas zu kalt. Beleuchtung bei den Liegen sollte besser sein. Nachhaltigkeitsansatz bei Zimmerreinigung und Handtüchern gefällt uns! Insgesamt eine gute, solide Wahl, um das Umland zu erkunden!

Kurzurlaub direkt an der Donau. Wir waren als Familie zwei Nächte im Hotel Donauschlinge und haben es Rundum genossen, so muss ein Entspannter Kurzurlaub sein. Vorneweg Lage Lage Lage, des Hotel ist direkt an der Schlögener Schlinge, und bietet auf der Terrasse beim Frühstück, Mittag und Abendessen einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Donau. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig, unser Zimmer hatte einen großen Balkon mit direkten Blick auf die Donau einfach Traumhaft. Das Buffet war abwechslungsreich für jeden war etwas dabei und alles ist frisch gekocht, das schmeckt man und es gibt absolut nichts daran auszusetzen. Service in Allen Bereichen war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlte sich immer sehr willkommen. Das Hotel hat einen sehr schönen Innenpool der bei heißen Temperaturen eine angenehme Erfrischung bietet und im Sauna Bereich sind 3 schöne und Saubere Saunen inkl Ruheraum. In direkter Umgebung ist der Yachthafen der zu einem schönen Spaziergang einlädt und auch der Schlögener Blick mit einen Atemberaubenden Blick auf die Donauschlinge ist in einem ca 30 minütigen Aufstieg schnell erreicht. Wir durften im Hotel Donauschlinge ein rund um schönen Kurzurlaub verbringen und kommen sicher wieder.

This was a great hotel, in a fabulous location for the Danube cycle route. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food was great. We had breakfast included in our stay which offered a substantial choice of dishes, Including fresh omelettes. The bedroom was clean and modern, although no AC. We left the windows in the bathroom and bedroom open, with the door of the bathroom open to allow air to circulate, which worked well and we got a good sleep. The hotel also had a bike shop, for repairs should you need them. Overall a good stay.

We loved this place.! The rooms were very clean and spacious. We loved the view of river off the deck and the authentic furnishings and decor. Food and service were top notch. The breakfast was our favourite meal with honey served from a honeycomb. The location and Roman history made this a unique destination.

Positiv war die gepflegte Anlage,die tolle Aussicht auf der Terasse und das freundliche Personal. Negativ waren die Zimmer(gehören dringend renoviert) und das Angebot "All imclusive",denn man musste trotzdem gewisse Sachen bezahlen....

Our rooms were huge with generous balconies and perfect views of the river and mountains. Their decor and bathrooms were dated and it wasn’t very easy to use the showers, plus the rooms could have benefited from kettles or even just water as one really wanted to hang around and enjoy the view. The restaurant was large and busy. We dined in but the food was very basic and none of us wanted to finish our dishes. The children’s menu was poor. There was a pleasant salad bar and the ice creams were excellent. Service was good also and generally the staff were lovely. Decent bike store and pool. Unusually, this hotel has been built on top of a Roman legionary fortress and a fraction of a gatehouse can be viewed but otherwise the archaeology mostly covered or obliterated although some other fantastic ruins up the road. Check in was busy, bureaucratic and slow with three different stages where you had to Q each time. One night here was easily enough for us but it makes a useful stop in the Danube trail.

Ein Hotel in wunderbarer Lage. Die Umgebung ist einfach herrlich. Das Personal überaus freundlich. Frühstücksbuffet sehr umfangreich. Das Zimmer (mit der Terrasse zur Donau) war sehr sauber. Alles in allen ein wunderbarer Urlaub der nur zu empfehlen ist.

Wir waren mit dem Rad unterwegs und dachten in einem Hotel Restaurant wird es auch nachmittags Essen für Externe geben,...leider nein Getränke oder max ein Salat bzw Kuchen/Torte war möglich. Das Lokal ist gross sichtlich unterteilt in einen Bereich für Hotelgäste und externe Gäste es hat auch eine große Terrasse. Es liegt quasi direkt an der Fährverbindung Schlögen /Au.
