We were in June, not in the ski season. I really liked the hotel - good interior, large rooms, delicious and varied breakfast, gorgeous pool. I liked everything, I strongly recommend.

Was very disappointed with our suite (214) which was like being in a basement. Room was dated and unclean with dirt on floor. Hair dryer from 50 years ago only worked for 30 seconds; took 2 requests at front desk to get replacement. Housekeeping is very sloppy and somewhat nonexistent. 1st day we returned to room after hike at 1:30 and found room had not been cleaned. Asked front desk and told they clean until 4:00 but we still had to find house cleaner to get fresh towels and toilet paper. 2nd day, when we left at 10:30 in morning we saw the housekeepers carts just outside our door but could not locate either cleaner so stopped at front desk to let them know we were leaving and ask that they have room cleaned. Returned at 2:00 and not cleaned and no housekeepers in sight. They showed up at 3:55 so we just got towels and told him to forget it. This is more a 3 star than 4.
