Fairfield Inn & Suites Gaylord

We were very impressed with the manager at this hotel. It was our first time there. It is a newer hotel so everything was new and clean. We were upgraded to a suite that would be perfect for a business stay. Desk was moveable so you wouldn't have to sit facing a wall. Breakfast selection was plentiful and had fresh Michigan peaches. We'll check in here if we're in the area again.

This Hotel is a hidden gem. The hotel is not the newest appearing in the Marriott fleet, however, the staff here doing an awesome job. Its clean, the pool is inviting and Salt Water. Lots of room for the kids to play. I didn't expect it to be as great as it was. I do not remember her name (unfortunately), but the lady at the desk on Saturday Night 9the 18th of May) was phenomenal). Would highly recommend that if you are in the area and need a place to stay - I would look to go here first.

It was my first time staying here, we usually stay at the Hampton Inn when we're passing through Gaylord but thought I'd give Fairfield a try. The hotel seemed new, everything was lovely, lobby is modern and inviting, as is the staff and dining area. Prices were reasonable. The room was comfortable, beds, pillows, every touch surface was clean. We didn't use any of the amenities as we were just staying the one night, but the pool and gym looked good. Parking was included. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful writing us out directions to get to the Elk Herd Sanctuary. The only thing we thought could have used improvement was the continental breakfast. It didn't seem to be laid out in any logical manner, didn't flow, so you end p running back and fourth to get what you need. Overall, we enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

The room was clean, updated in appearance, and quiet. The bed was comfortable with nice quality bedding. The room had coffee, a microwave, and small fridge, but no bottled water (even for a Marriott Bonvoy member) and no tea (such an easy, inexpensive way to make guests feel welcome!). Staff were friendly at check in and check out. Complementary breakfast was fine. Price seemed high for the season and amenities.

Super clean with large lobby, large room. We had king size bed. Bed very comfortable. Nice clean pool, hot tub and workout area. Our room 105 was next to kitchen. Very noisy starting about 5am. Only downfall. Elk viewing sanctuary close by and very cool. Close to anything you need

Or stay was quite comfortable. Centrally located so you can easily walk to downtown shops. Rooms are spacious and clean. Would stay there again. Unfortunately, the next room was full of loud partiers who kept us up nearly all night. My husband had to sleep in the car. The hotel was unable to deal with the situation in an effective way. The people wouldn't stop, the night clerk couldn't figure out how to move us to another room. It was a long, sleepless night.

Hotel overall was clean and well kept. We chose this hotel because it has an ev charger, but unfortunately someone else was using it overnight. The shower floor was extremely slippery and water pressure was low. Breakfast was as per usual and the attendant was hustling keeping everything clean and stocked. There’s a back way to walk downtown and visit the shops.

The location is great - easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Also lobby is open for refreshments (pop/wine) in the evening for a reasonable cost and complimentary breakfast. But, walls are thin. We were sandwiched between two noisy rooms: one heavy sleeper and one loud TV. We could be a little more understanding if hotel was super busy, but this was off season and very few guests.

I’m Marriott Titanium Elite. No mention of status on check-in. Asked if they gave bottles of water with status and was told, “we don’t really do that”, but it was the guys last day so he gave us two bottles from the Marketplace 🤷‍♀️. Tried to use the hot tub on our second night, and though the sign said capacity was 5, there were about ten people in it and they stayed for a LONG time, so we never got to use it. And, of course, no housekeeping, STILL.
