Während unserer regelmäßig wiederkehrenden Ausflüge nach GaPa kehren wir auch immer beim Gasthof "Zum Rassen" zum Essen ein. Es ist immer wieder schön dort in gemütlicher Atmosphäre bei tollem Essen und einem Bier (oder einer Flasche Wein) zu sitzen und zu speisen. Alles was die Speisekarte hergibt, ist zu empfehlen, besonders das Brotzeit-Brettl. Vielleicht schafft es das Böfflamott aucn irgendwann wieder zurück auf die Karte, das war immer mein Favorit. Der Service ist super aufmerksam, flink und auch wenn die Wirtschaft voll ist, haben Babsi und ihre Kollegen alles im Griff und ein freundliches Gesicht parat. We booked this property because there were not any others left and had VERY low expectations going in based on past reviews.
However, I have to say I was very pleased with our stay!
For the price- This is a great value stay! Great breakfast, great location. This is NOT in Garmisch but is in the Partenkirchen side of town. Just an 8 minute bus ride to downtown Garmisch.
Biggest CONS:
Church bells- The church bell across from the hotel can be very annoying and woke me up at night a few times.
Additional Fees- I booked for 3 guests on Orbitz but for some reason the hotel only showed two even though I showed them my Orbitz reservation showed 3. They charged us additional for the 3rd guest that they "were not aware of" This is a problem in there systems with 3rd party booking platforms such as Orbitz that they need to address.

We booked this hotel well in advance but the day before we were to arrive, we were sent a note by the hotel telling us that they had opened the hotel up to Ukrainian refugees and that they had rebooked us into some of their apartments, located some distance away. Although we applaud the hotel for opening up to refugees, we wish they had given us more notice so we could have made other accommodations.
