Minnewaska Lodge

We had an excellent experience and a comfy stay! Maggie the general manager is simply the best!! The rooms were clean and the outdoor fire pits were awesome!

Spectacular little hotel at the base of the 'Gunks! Very comfortable rooms, excellent front-desk service. The quiet rooms, the beautiful views of the mountains and the fireflies in the fire pit area were real highlights for us. Will stay here again when we are in the area.

This is a really cute and clean property! The large common areas are very lodge-like and breakfast is good too. The staff is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this for a couple of days to relax.

The lodge is a great place to stay while enjoying all that the area around Minnewaska/New Paltz has to offer…great hiking, climbing, and just a lot of natural beauty in this part of NY State. The Mountain Brauhaus (within a minute walking distance) is a gem for lunch, dinner, or just a quick bite and a tasty beer!

Very quaint place to stay . The lodge was cozy and the staff was very accommodating . The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfy and I’d recommend a top floor cliff view with balcony which is nice to just relax on & enjoy the view. There are 2 gas fire pits with Adirondack chairs out back , a nice patio to eat or relax on with heat lamps as well. It is centrally located to all of the hiking we wanted to do and a convenience store located right near the lodge for snacks, drinks and more. We also liked that you are only 10 mins from downtown New Paltz where there is an abundance of restaurants, eateries, bars, shops etc. I definitely would stay here again …

Maggie and Matt at Minnewaska Lodge are true hospitality specialists and top-notch. Every interaction was met with warmth and efficiency, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well-cared for throughout our visit. Our room was not only charming but also spotlessly clean, a testament to the lodge's high standards. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the breakfast. It was truly tremendous and went above and beyond our expectations. The spread was generous, featuring an array of fresh fruit, cereals, and hot options. The freshly made pastries were a particular standout, adding a delightful touch of indulgence to our mornings. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Minnewaska Lodge is ideally situated. We loved having a hiking trail right on-site, offering immediate access to the stunning natural beauty of the area. Practical amenities like plenty of parking also made our stay completely hassle-free. Beyond the comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast, the lodge provides wonderful communal spaces. The outdoor seating areas and inviting fire pits offer perfect spots to relax, socialize, and soak in the serene surroundings after a day of exploration. Minnewaska Lodge is a true gem.
