Motel 6 Garden Grove, CA

Highly recommended, very clean

Great little gem off the highway for a 6 day trip to Disneyland. Entire hotel was under renovation during our stay, and the rooms are improved. Room is spacious and appeared clean and fresh. The renovation is one of those “surface” renovations where when you look close there’s a lot of things they didn’t and probably won’t touch. The staff were super polite and helpful when I needed anything. The AC unit was vibrating super loud and I asked them to look at it and see if they could do anything. When we returned it was silent! Be aware though, the entrance to the hotel is on Trask, and there is no way to turn left into the lot at the light. You have to go down a bit further and U turn. I do recommend this place if you’re on a budget but still want to be close enough to the parks.

Absolutely, hands down THE SCUMMIEST Motel 6 ever. First off, it looks like hell. Filthy. the walls outside, cobwebs, dirt, dust, THe owners, Indians, couldn't care less. They know NOTHING, of hospitality, or customer service. I'm working City Of Garden Grove, in trying to get eir business license revolked. NOW, inside the rooms, GROSS. Everything your eyes see, is dirty. It feels discusting, it smells bad too. THe lighting? is like headlights, it WAY TOO bright. and non adjustable. very unpleasant. The owners said " Why would We want to do anything here, and spend money, for low life people, that destroy it"? He confessed THEY DO NOT CARE. I've stayed here more than 5 times. its WORSE each time.

the people at the front desk were very kind and welcoming but that was probably the only nice thing about this motel. we had booked a non-smoking room for four nights. as soon as we checked in and opened our door we were hit with a wall of our room smelling like cigarettes. the molding along the floor was duct-taped to the wall in spots because it looked like it was falling off. the door molding in the bathroom looked like an animal had slowly been chewing away at it because there was a little hole. mold was on the ceiling in the bathroom from poor shower ventilation, flies were flying around our room, and the white walls looked dirty. there were burn marks on the lid of the toilet seat as well as on my bed sheets. luckily we were spending our time in disneyland so i loved how convenient it was, but next time i'll spend the extra buck and stay at a good-neighbor hotel through disney!
