My Honest Review of Swosti Chilika – A 3.5/5 Experience I travel extensively across India and have stayed in many hotels in this category. Here’s my honest take on Swosti Chilika. We booked our stay via the Goibibo app, and the booking process was smooth. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome with garlands and a refreshing welcome drink. The reception staff was courteous, although check-in took around 30 minutes due to another group checking in simultaneously. I’d rate the check-in experience a 3 out of 5. Dining Experience: 5/5 This was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. The seafood was absolutely divine—among the best I’ve had! The flavors were authentic and memorable. The chef was friendly and even offered a complimentary serving of dal khichdi for our kids, which was a thoughtful gesture. Tip: Food is expensive here and there aren’t any local alternatives nearby, so I recommend opting for an all-meals-inclusive plan to avoid higher à la carte costs. Room & Comfort: 3/5 The room was decently sized for two people. The linens and bathroom were clean, but the comforter was stained and seemed unwashed. The pillows were too stiff and bulky for comfort. The air conditioning worked well, but the floor could’ve been cleaner. The bathroom lacked essentials like bathrobes and slippers, and overall, the room could use brighter paint and a more modern look. Facilities: 2.5/5 The swimming pool wasn’t as clean as expected. Though they mentioned a boat ride, no one followed up or contacted us about it. Check-Out & EV Charging Issue: 2/5 I had confirmed in advance that I could charge my EV at the property. However, after check-out, the manager unexpectedly called and demanded payment for the charging. I was never informed of any cost beforehand. He quoted Rs. 100 per hour initially, and later a senior manager said it was per unit. There was no clear sign or communication at check-in. The manager seemed more interested in an under-the-table payment, which left a bad impression. Overall Verdict: Swosti Chilika is a lovely property with great food and courteous staff, but it has room for improvement in terms of room comfort, cleanliness, transparency, and professionalism. Final Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Love the resort. A day trip with family. Resort got nice dining hall. Food good. Liked chingri besara. Executive chef Chakraborty make our day special. Very cooperative. Services team are good. HK Sabitri mashi always keep clean the wash room. Best wish to swosti chilika.

A beautiful and well maintained resort with Chilika lake behind the resort. You can take a boat ride from this resort on the lake. The food is also good and the service at the restaurant is excellent. The front desk staff specially Uttam have been ever ready to help. A few sight seeing spots you can visit from here. Overall a great and relaxing stay.

Resort is very nice, house keeping is very excellent,rooms are cleaned, staffs are very helpfully Ranjita,subha, Kishore,Bhama, coming again to visit,

Very good property with Good staff and amazing hospitality. Kapil and Sadashiv, Umesh and Subhrajit were excellent and quite welcoming. Overall had a really good time.
