The hotel Golden Crest deceives people saying it is newly renovated. The ceiling is damp and broken (photo attached). Moreover they have not provided even basic amenities like towel, toiletries etc.
The customer service is also not helpful.
Overall an experience nobody would like to have.

The golden crest is one of the best hotel in Gangtok. Very good service and very tasty food . Bishal kumar receptionist is a very helpfull and nice person. All over best hotel in Gangtok .

Great experience at the hotel the staff are also very polite and professional rooms was quite big and comfortable the view from the rooms is very picturesque Special thanks to Mr Manish who helped us with all the arrangements for travel and sightseeing as well. Credit goes to the Front office team as well for their fast responce to any queries

Sabnam Mangar and Reshma Gurung (housekeeping staff) they did splendid job. They cleaned our room like new. Apart from this the room is in mobile area viz. Of 2 lifts which is very tough for a rookie to find his room next time.

The stay was truly pleasant, thanks to an upgrade to the premium room, all credit goes to Manis Rawat, the manager! He truly defines the word hospitality with his warmth and professionalism. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and memorable stay.

It was a beautiful stay in this hotel with big and comfortable rooms ***** with the best views Food is also very good only veg optiond are there Staffs are very polite and helpful at any time you call for them Also special thanks to Mr Manish the Manager of the hotel who was very Professional helping out us with any of our request and thank you for making all the arrangments for us it was very nice stay I suggest everyone if you are looing for a budget friendly hotel then must try it

We stayed 2 days in this hotel , they provide us good room we enjoyed their food , room service was done properly, breakfast was also very tasty over all experience was excellent In suggestions I would recommend cleaning of the room was not done properly but we had no big issues over this , it was worth staying.

Beware beware beware beware beware beware beware beware beware beware beware beware beware I booked hotel in Gangtok for my grup But he is not responding my call and message I have given 5k extra money but he is not refund my money Please don't book many more options in Gangtok I'm same cost Food also bad and services is pathetic
