I booked to stay one night with my father. Their staff are so amazing they changed the room immediately as my father could not walk too many stairs. So I would like to say their staff and hospitality is top notch.
The room was really nice however there was a sound that came from the kitchen exhaust which was like a generator. So until the kitchen shut at 10pm this noise was there. This is the only negative part of my stay. The other suggestion I have is to have some room to do exercises or games room or something.
Its an amazing property. Loved it.

Good hotel with good location Mall Road very near service is Suburb nice food with out side sitting room in one wing are good in wing 2 is ok ok negative point no fans in room no room on ground floor no excess to wheel chair otherwise it’s good choice to stay

The hotel is dated. There is no AC in the room. It’s a small property with relatively few amenities. So why the 5-star review? Because of its authenticity. The moment you step in, you are treated like a personal guest of the royal Chogyal family in the 1900s. The views, the decor, the impeccable and authentic staff, the gardens - you can almost visualize English Generals and Sikkim royalty sipping tea in the gardens while admiring the magnificent Kanchenjunga. It’s not a Ritz Carlton or Westin. It’s an upscale Heritage property. Notable celebrities include Pandit Nehru, Rajendra Prasad, Narendra Modi, Richard Gere, Michael Douglas.

Great customer care by Mr.Sudip (f&b manager)and asish,ganes.Great service by all restaurant staff.Food was very testy .very clean hotel in Gangtok city.Very near from the market.we enjoyed very much with our family.we want to visit again soon.Every staff giving service by smiling face its very needs for hospitality.I m very happy with this trip.

A heritage hotel having a beautiful and attractive ambiance. Rooms are spacious and rustic. However the tip culture is horrible. At every step the staff irritates by demanding tips. Service is not great. From room to car as many staff members you cross, everyone looks for tips. Tips should be voluntary. Management must train the staff.

Property was amazing location wise ambient wise. Raj Kishore ji was great at hospitality at dinner place. if u are lucky u cab watch a free league match as sikkim football stadium is greatly visible from property. The buffet spread and taste were good too

Hotel was very nice and cosy. Not very big. the staff were friendly and excellent in service. We had taken half boarding which included breakfast and dinner. The food was quite good with lot of veg options. The food manager also took our suggestions and prepared specific dishes for us which really needs to be appreciated. The hotel is also close to MG Market where there is lot of shopping.
