I was on a 10 day trip to Sikkim, Northern West Bengal and Meghalaya, and the Lha Yul was my first stop and what a disappointment it was. Of course I did not let this place form a judgement of things to come. The subsequent places I stayed was excellent and the disappointment of having been to Lha Yul was soon erased. Firstly finding the place even with Google maps and local guidance was tough, Once you get there reaching the reception is a huge task as there is a long flight of stairs and no lift. The rooms that you have paid for and what you get is totally different, and when you call up the owner he has the cheek to change the pictures on their website and tell that you are lying. The views they promise from the room is pathetic and the service if there is any is shoddy at best to say the least. All in all a place best avoided.
