The room was big and clean. Because there is a bar downstairs, some reviews said it was a bit noisy, but it was really not noisy at all, which shows that the sound insulation is very good. The front desk was very welcoming. The location is very convenient, in the city center, 5 minutes walk to the bus station. I also need to go to the business park outside the city. The bus below the hotel goes there directly. It is very convenient. After get off work, I go to the pedestrian street behind the hotel. I will stay here next time.

The hotel is right next to the pedestrian street of the ancient city. It has an excellent location. The parking lot is a 3-minute walk away. You can buy a one-night parking ticket at the hotel front desk for a discount. The front desk staff is very friendly. The room is quiet, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is divided into wet and dry areas, the hot water is very good, and the drainage is also good.

The Skeffington Arms was an excellent base for our family of four during our stay in Galway. We had several meals in the pub which were all wonderful. Despite the many warnings about noise, we were never bothered by it in either of our two rooms.

Lovely front desk staff, who were so helpful. Loved the beds...so comfy with great sheets. The room was quiet. Amused by the Bon Jovi saying on the ceiling and the Lady GaGa- Sting lyrics on the glass pane by the elevator. Ideal location for enjoying Eyre Sq. and the Shop st. activities.

We stayed on a Wednesday night, and there was live music until after 1 in the morning, which we heard through the walls. The manager told us we could check out and not stay for our reservation on Thursday. However, it’s a month later, and although I have spoken to him twice, and he said he would take care of the refund straightaway, we have yet to be refunded. Additionally, the room was quite rundown. There was a bad smell and it didn’t feel clean. I would not stay again.

Food was terrible, red Thai curry in the evening didn't taste at all like curry more sweet n sour portion size was OK but it was not curry. Ate it because I was hungry didn't complain and paid in full, however breakfast was a whole different world coffee was shockingly bad orange juice was warm fruit salad was OK but the fry was mostly deep fried eggs were terrible and like rubber and the toast when I got it eventually (apparently the toaster wasnt turned on and needed to heat sure who would want toast for breakfast!!!) was blue moulded. I complained when I was paying and my server seemed shocked the toast was mouldy but explained that she had put a "shocking amount of expresso shots into the coffee pot!!!" And then it would seem mix it with Luke warm water. She then declared maybe i hadn't slept well!! Obviously because I complained!!! €14 for breakfast €253 for the room. Crap service and food priceless!!! AVOID !!!
