I was greeted with such help, from a dear soul named Connor. He was very helpful giving information on the facilities and the surrounding nature spaces as well as a deep dive history into Ireland, and his experiences which was very much appreciated. The bed was comfy, and the cooking and dining facilities were clean and spacious. Thank you so much for a great stay! :)

Fun place to visit. Close to city centre, free breakfast, can have as much tea and coffee as wanted. Rooms can get quite warm, but are generally comfortable

Solid hostel experience! The location is good while still quiet, the front desk staff were friendly, and the room was clean. My only real complaint is that there aren't outlets right at each bed, so you can't have your phone next to you if it's charging at night. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

It’s been the best out of two that we stayed at. We had laundry facilities on our floor we had breakfast provided. It was clean very comfortable and had lots of social space. We would definitely return if we were coming back to the area. The staff was great

I stayed for seven days and hadn’t it been for Kate, Gabriela, Matti and George, my experience in Galway would have been considerably worse. They are fun, helpful and committed professionals who deserve more credit for what they do. Thank you and see you next year!

Decent stay. The staff were really friendly. The free breakfast consisted of bread / toast, butter, jam, milk and cereal (cornflakes, oats, chocolate hoops). Also free tea and coffee all day. Rooms were ok but quite dated and only had 2 plug sockets which were located at one person’s bed. So really inconvenient for charging phones overnight. Room got really humid / stuffy easily and we had to keep opening the window so think some better ventilation and general modernisation are needed. Some simple additions like a rubber bath mat, some wall hooks in the rooms to hang coats or bags etc, and a small shelf in each bunk would make a huge difference.

I stayed in a private double room with a bathroom for four nights. The hostel is about a five minute walk from the train station. The room was spartan, but suitable for my needs. There was some noise from the hallway at late hours of the night, but that's to be expected though annoying. They provide a light breakfast of tea, coffee, cereal and toast in the morning. Just enough to get you going. Be advised this hostel does not allow alcohol and has strict rules against eating or drinking in the rooms. The Latin Quarter and Market are about a 10 minute walk away.

The only positive notes are the helpful staff and the good location near the center and quiet. But terrible quality/price ratio. Euro 425 for a room with 4 beds concentrated in 2 bunk beds. Carpet on the floor with stains not well identified (luckily). Small bathroom with tiny sink attached to it a shelf against which you bang your head if you are not careful. See photos. But the fact is that everything is old and worn and therefore the room and the bathroom and the wardrobe with their chippings give a terrible feeling. There is only hand soap. But let's get to the breakfast. Basic bread jam imitation Nutella American coffee and plates and dishes that you use and then wash yourself for others to use. Community concept. But the spaces to sit down if the hostel is full are not very many. In short, for me, an ugly place and with an exorbitant price.
