On our road trip through Irland this was the only hotel which was not in the centre of the city. It 2-3 km north west from the city center. Benefit of this location is that you do not have a parking problem since such hotels offers free parking. The hotel is relativ big and even so that the lobby was new the room we got big but it looked like a bed was removed and so the room looked even bigger. Even so that everything was working the room wo not give me a good feeling. An interesting fact it that the is a fitness club in the hotel and hotel guests could use this for free. So for one night the hotel was ok, in particular if you do not plan to stay longer than one night.

Went with 2 friends. Room was lovely. Had delicious food in bar on Fri evening. Went into Galway after arrived back at hotel at 12.05 to find bar closed. (Closing time 12.30). Night porter said we could get in side entrance "if we really wanted". Young barman was very pleasant but he was asked to move us to lobby at 12.25 which was ok. The night porter very rude. Disappeared so we couldn't order again. Next day was in town shopping came back to hotel for 4pm. Asked barman for 2 cocktails. Was told know as they didn't do them till later. That evening complained at front desk about the service and stated we had stayed at a hotel not a b&b for these little extras . The man at front desk was very defensive and rude. When checking out when asked did we enjoy stay we relayed our complaint. Girl was very pleasant and said the general manager would be in touch with the person on booking. We never heard anything.

The Clybaun is an outstanding hotel offering large rooms as well as recreational facilities including a gym, pool and sauna. Very comfortable bed in a well appointed room with nice amenities. Quiet at night. Complimentary garage parking. Close to restaurants and shopping Staff were friendly and helpful. Great value. Hope to return some day!

Nice hotel with nice rooms but the night porter really could do with some training in customer service we came back after a concert and asked if we could order a drink at the bar and he was very rude basically saying no way and then returned to his phone call. We were waiting on a takeaway in the reception and the whole time we were there he was just on the phone chilling out on the couch.. its not a good look he was very rude he's ruined the while experience 😕

Generally the staff are rude with no awareness of their surroundings. There is an unapologetic incompetence for even the most basic of tasks. Some good experienced staff work here but unfortunately it is outweighed by the arrogance of phone addicted youth.

Everything good, friendly staff, good breakfast, I would come back with my family! The room was clean, the size of the room enough for 3 persons. The quality of the bed was good to have a good night. The Irish breakfast was enough and well tasting.

Hôtel bien situ avec un grand parking, même si ce dernier est généralement bien rempli par les utilisateurs (externes) de la salle de sport. Cette salle de sport est ultra moderne et très grande, un vrai plus. Les chambres sont grandes et bien équipées, avec une excellente literie. Globalement un bon hôtel mais manquant de charme.

I was on a road trip with my 2 sons we booked this hotel last minute and it was perfect. I used the gym and my older son used the hot tub he said it was fab.

Honestly a very good hotel for the price and what it has to offer, the bar and spa were especially good for me and my girlfriend, they also can call taxis from reception so getting into galway is a throw away. I could recommend this hotel if you just wanted to have a nice stay while enjoying galway, just bring money for taxis (15 to 20 euro) if you dont have a car.
