Beautiful rooms. EXCELLENT service. Breakfast was awesome! The homemade muffins were SO good! I overheard someone say that the eggs were the best they ever had and I have to agree! I like history and our host (and chef!), Michael, was very knowledgeable about the house and Galveston in general. Wonderful visit! We will be back!

This is a charming little guesthouse that is in dire need of an upgrade. You can see it was once beautiful. The caretakers, Michael and Rosie, are obviously very hard-working and kind people who do their absolute best to keep travellers happy. It's obvious that the owners are not investing in refreshing the spot, which is a shame. The biggest mis-advertisement is the White Room, where we stayed. The bathroom is located directly outside the door and across the hallway, accessible with a separate key. This is very inconvenient if you value any level of privacy during the night or when showering. We checked out an entire day early and returned to Houston. The owners didn't even offer a partial refund.

Stunning historic bed and breakfast in lovely Galveston. My huge suite was in one of the outlying buildings next to the main house, with a very comfortable bed, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen. The included breakfasts each morning were delicious, with cereals yoghurt and fruit, pastries, and bacon and eggs. A great way to start the day! Galveston is a charming place with lovely eateries and cafes. I visited for a couple of days just before my cruise and really felt welcomed there. I very much recommend the George Manor to anyone visiting - it's within easy waking distance of pretty much everything, and if not, rideshare is readily available.
