Spark by Hilton Galveston

The hotel is right on the Seawall Blvd, however, our room did not have ocean view. It faces a street. We wanted to make a cup of tea, yet there is no coffer maker in the room. We wanted to warm food, yet no microwave in the room. no slippers. AC is in the room making noises. Breakfast is so so. Operation is so thrifty!

This hotel is so far below Hilton standards it doesn't qualify to be under their brand umbrella. Desk help except for the blonde girl was horrible. No hot water in hot tub. Breakfast was put out and never tended to, thus milk for cereal was warm. Fruit was almost ripe. And pastries consisted of bagels. ONLY. The room was so generic. The only place to sit in the room was a metal chair with no cushion. TV was streaming but it didn't. The rates were ghastly for what we received as lodging.

Very clean and convenient location. Worth the spontaneous trip and urgent reservation needed. The breakfast included was very basic. The elevators are quite small and the nearest one to my room stop operating after 8pm.

Great stay night before a cruise out of Galveston!

Parking Would have liked to use the cruise parking option at Spark but staff was not helpful and so we made other plans.

Moldy We had reserved a king room with a pull out couch and instead they gave us a double bed. The hotel was recently renovated, but someone did a quick, crappy job and painted over mold. Great location, staff was friendly, and fine for one night. I wouldn't stay more than a night or two for health concerns of mold.
