Comfort Inn Gallup I-40 Exit 20

Overall is pretty good. But the air of the room we got not smell good, felt that somebody smoked in the past.

Alaia found my missing car keys that I’d inadvertently left in the restroom. Made my day. She called our room right away even though we hadn’t left our room number with her when we initially asked if anyone had turned in any keys. Really appreciated her help!

Great location next to I 40. Alaia was at the front desk and she was super helpful. Looked up restrauants nearby so that I could choose a place to eat I would definitely stay here again due to the location and cleanliness on the room and the super helpful desk clerk.

Chose this hotel for it’s good reviews and 300 sq ft rooms advertised. Saw some poor revews about outdated rooms and asked for a renovated room. Alaia found us one and was entirely professional and friendly as she informed us about the hotel, breakfast, internet access, etc. The room is clean and well stocked. We’re happy!

Very accommodating manager. Excellent mattress and bedding. The breakfast cook (Monica) prepared the fluffiest scrambled eggs during our past six days on the road, and the breakfast buffet included many items. I highly recommend this hotel.

Johnathan & Monica were very helpful with breakfast 🥞 & very respectful. Great job 👍 I also saw Johnathan constantly keeping the area cleaned up as well as provided great customer service. He was always asking how I am and if I needed anything.

The lobby contains an amazing military display honoring all branches and extensive history. Respectful and professional. Huge impact. Would stay again - or stop by - just for this. In addition, employees were kind and efficient, room clean, good value.

When we arrived and entered the lobby, we were met with very loud music which was apparently from workers performing renovations within the hotel on the second floor. The music made it difficult to hear the front desk clerk. She was very nice, but also seemed very interested in her smart watch messages while checking us in. When we rounded the corner for the elevator, she shouted to the workers to turn the music down. Why didn't she do that when we were trying to conduct business? We went to our room using the elevator but had left items in the car. We took the stairs down, then tried to use the elevator to go up to the third floor, but while we were waiting, an employee came by and said sometimes the elevator sticks on the third floor. She went up via the stairs, came back down and did not say a word. We waited a few more minutes, then realized we needed to carry our belongings up 3 flights of stairs. Now there is out of order sign on the elevator. The door to our room only opens if you pull up on the handle, not down. The room is small but has a microwave and a refrigerator. The noise from the road is obnoxious if you do not have your fan/heater running. We were in an even numbered room on the third floor. in reference to the noisy road. The pool is also not in working order, but we had received a call prior to our arrival which was nice. However, it seems the pool is often out of service, according on previous reviews. Yes, it is next door to Cracker Barrel, if you want food within walking distance, or Applebees which is probably a five-minute walk. However, based on the price of the room and the condition of the hotel, we do not feel it is an equivocal trade. The hotel is just not worth the price charged. We have stayed at multiple hotels and this one is not on our list to try again. There are nicer hotels in Gallup.

Rooms were spotless and nice sized with a king bed, chair & ottoman and desk. It also had a refrigerator and microwave. Bed was comfortable and the a/c worked perfect. The front desk were friendly and helpful. We did not have the breakfast that was provided. It was only a one night stay because we were passing through, but I would stay here again.
