The hotel was NOT at fault here. The fault lies solely with Trip.com who sold the booking to another site who refused to give the hotel my contact details. The hotel was therefore unable to inform me that my booking had been moved to another hotel in the group, hotel Fly. I was confronted with a locked door when I arrived and when I finally got through to someone I was asked to go to Hotel Fly.
I will never use Trip.com again as they soured what was till then a very enjoyable stay in Italy.

After booking and paying in advance, once we arrived we found the structure closed, no call or email for prior warning. On site we called the reservation number and were moved to a dilapidated hotel outside the historic center. Absolutely avoid!

Spettacolare !! Abbiamo pernottato per tre notti presso Suite Porta Terra. Posizione centralissima, abbiamo potuto visitare tutta Gallipoli a piedi sia per raggiungere le spiagge sia per il centro. Personale super!!: le ragazze della reception sono state gentilissime, disponibili a darci tutte le indicazioni necessarie per goderci tutta la città al meglio. Ci torneremo senza ombra di dubbio!

It is not a hotel but a guest house. Once we arrive on site we discover that the check-in must be done 500 meters away in another hotel. Accompanied to the structure you can access it from a shabby door on the street as well as from a staircase of 18 very steep steps. There are no words Suite-type rooms composed from two rooms Two large televisions but with very few channels to watch (there was no antenna signal) Breakfast at the bar (separately) Parking space unavailable What can I say: comfortable rooms in the old part of Gallipoli but with many problems

It's not bad, the bathroom doesn't have a window and without a bidet, it's certainly not 4 star. The courtesy and kindness of the staff is exquisite. The view from the balcony on the sea is very beautiful. Via Roma is just two minutes away on foot.
