The worst stay of my life.
I have already stayed in 7 hotels in Sri Lanka, the Radisson is the most expensive I have stayed in and without a doubt the worst.
First of all, on arrival I booked for 2 people but on arrival the reception told me that unfortunately there would be an extra charge for my wife. So they asked me for 120€ extra! Knowing that I have already paid €220 per night so €440 per stay
Of course the reception wanted to be paid in cash and after negotiation we went down to 60€ which proves that this was nothing like the usual procedure but was simply intended to rob me.
When I wanted to cancel my u the reception told me that they would take the entire amount from my card so I found myself trapped by these crooks.
Then we discovered our room where a strong smell of humidity and rot disgusted us, impossible to sleep in these conditions since the bed was wet from the humidity (see the photos)
In addition there was rot everywhere and the air conditioning did not work.
We asked to change rooms which they refused, they then told us that they would resolve the problems in our room. I stayed in the room to observe despite the employee's insistence that I come out, and in reality he just put on a lot of perfume to cover the smell.
Finally the pool bartender tried to sell us ***** and kept looking at my wife.
This hotel is not at all representative of Sri Lanka, it’s a shame! And it’s a shame to pay so much for such a mediocre hotel! It’s dirty and unworthy of a 200€ night.
