Just checked in today on May 21st, 2024 and I am already fed up and writing this review on the same day after checking in. Firstly checkin was not smooth they have twin seperate beds for a family, not sure how can the kid sleep in between 2 joint beds. This was solved by arguing with them and taking an alternative room. Next and most important WIFI works only the lobby. Inside rooms there is no WIFI signal. Next TVs not working. Finally ACs are built near main entrance of rooms and water is dripping continuously making your entry to room slippery and not convenient at all. Not sure without WIFI and without TVs what we are going to do in this useless resort for couple of days stay. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT NOT WORTH EVEN A SINGLE PENNY.

The staff was unfriendly at check in, which I have never experienced on my trip through Sri Lanka. It was all about charging the credit card as quickly as possible. The rooms need to be renovated, especially the bathroom, looks a bit outdated and not well maintained.

Excellent,helpful staff.Beautiful location with the breeze through the palm trees the only noise you will hear. True Sri Lankan hospitality, peaceful yet only a short distance from the buzz of Bentota. Thank you to all the staff at Rockside.

Très bel hôtel à quelques mètres de la magnifique plage. Toutes les chambres (je crois) ont un balcon avec vue sur mer. Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et bien équipées. Les repas sont très bons. Je recommande l'œuf brouillé cuit sous nos yeux au petit déjeuner. Piscine très agréable. Si vous avez un moment, allez voir à quelques mètres de l'hôtel le sanctuaire des tortues marines, appuyé par le WWF

It is not a four star resort property. The staff admitted that it is a 3 star resort. The room provided to us had leaking AC and the floor would get wet. It was pathetic. I have pics and given an opportunity will definitely post them. The reception looked like a OYO property. It was scorching 34 Celsius and there was no AC or fan at the reception. I regret having accepted the request of my son for going with Travel Triangle Travel Agency. It is surprising how Trip Adviser has rated them as Excellent property. The only best part of the hotel is that it is hardly 50 meters from the beach and has a good view. But can someone comprise the view with the uncomfortable rooms. Not recommended

Мы с мужем впервые на Шри Ланке. Выбрали отель Rockside beach resort по отзывам на TripAdvisor. Отелем довольны. Неплохой, небольшой отель. ◦ Из плюсов: Расположение. Уединенное место. Собственный пляж в пределах 50м. Ближайший город с инфраструктурой в пределах 4км, на местном транспорте тук-туке ехать 5-10 минут стоимость поездки 1.5 - 2$ (январь 24г). Рядом есть ресторанчики с вкусной едой. Бассейн. Иногда хочется просто поплавать, и бассейн был как раз кстати) чистый небольшой бассейн) Цена. Вполне бюджетный вариант. Цена соответствует качеству. 130-160$ на двоих в сутки. Завтрак включен. Можно за доплату взять half board. Что мы и сделали. Из этого плюса переходим в след. Еда. Все вкусно. Шведский стол, либо по меню если небольшая заполненность отеля. Бывали дни, когда заселялись индусы, тогда большая часть блюд была слишком острой для нас с мужем. Но все-равно было из чего выбрать для европейцев. Люди. Очень приветливые, приятные. Стараются сделать ваше прибывание в отеле комфортным. ◦ Из минусов: Отель, как и писалось выше, отдалён от города. Рядом практически никакой инфраструктуры. (банкоматы, магазины и тд.) Немного застиранное и старенькое белье, могут даже с дырочками застелить. Скатерти так же есть с дырочками. Но это мелочь. Нам с мужем было норм. Но может для кого-то это решающий момент, имейте в виду. Так же на балконе заляпанные стулья, можно было бы обычным очищающим средством отмыть. Но номер сам чистенький. Туалет, душ, полотенца - все отлично. Уборка каждый день. В отеле встретили отлично парня, которого зовут Суда. Он неплохо говорит на русском языке. Может помочь по разным вопросам, также с организацией экскурсий.

I will start with the positives... this hotel is set on a beatiful beach with sun loungers and towels available to use for free of charge. It has stunning views from the room the rooms were large and spacious with large balcony with lush views . The shower room was large and shower worked well . Well cleaned daily if wanted by yourself . Now for the negatives ... this hotel is fat away from everything. The hotel advertised currency exchange which was not available so we actually had very little sri lankan cash on us as at end few days of holiday. Didn't even have enough for tuk or taxi to nearest bank or atm so kinda stuck there ( luckily able to pay everything in hotel via card at end of stay ) The breakfast provided was below standard and the fruits and cake were all left uncovered for flys to land on. The menu available for food to buy was limited and very expensive for food and drink but again no where close buy to walk to to eat out. The staff although friendly were very hard to communicate with even to order a drink During our stay the pool was at times unavailable to use due to works on the hotel we were not notified of this before our stay There are only 4 lounger by pool for medium sized hotel . This hotel has so much potential it needs a small shop as nothing close by...and drink and snack bar by the beach. fairly priced menu as so expensive. better breakfast options.

Rockside beach resort это прекрасный отель с хорошим расположение. Думаю самый главный плюс этого отеля близкое расположение к океану (около 30 метров). С левой стороны скалы, через них можно пройти также на другой пляж. Сам отель небольшой, но очень красивый, есть бассейн. Сотрудники отеля очень приятные люди, хоть и не знают русского всегда стараются помочь и решить проблему. У нас были завтраки и ужины, еда в целом была вкусная. Хозяин отеля очень душевный человек, было приятно с ним пообщаться, нам даже в последний день сделали ужин на пляже.
