The meals were really good, and the location is perfect for a quiet getaway. However, the hotel is quite far from the beach, which can be a bit inconvenient. One major issue we faced was with the water bottles. Even though we were on a full board basis, the hotel placed 500ml plastic water bottles on our buffet table without us requesting them. Later, we were charged LKR 350 per bottle, plus 10% service charge, totaling LKR 1,925 for 5 small bottles. We didn’t even ask for them, and there was no clear communication that these would be charged separately. This felt quite unfair and disappointing.

Recently we visit the jungle village unawatuna and the experience we had really amazing...staff also friendly and food also amazing....the place is very nature friendly like we hope...we can recomended this place to everyone without any doubt.

The hotel is wonderful, completely immersed in the jungle, you feel part of the environment and enveloped in wonder. The rooms are cozy, aesthetically beautiful and in keeping with the surroundings, and clean. The only sore point is the staff that needs to improve from an organizational and customer management point of view. However, they were all friendly and did their best to solve any problems that arose.

Wir haben zwei Nächte für 150€ ohne Frühstück gebucht. Kamen an das Zimmer sieht ein bisschen abgewohnt aus im Vergleich zu den Bildern ist aber ansonsten okay gewesen. Der Boden bricht nur fast durch wenn man vor dem Bett läuft. Dann wollten wir an den schön angezeigten Pool im Urwald. Das Wasser war dreckig, der Boden fehlte, die Holzliegen haben sie durch Plastik ausgetauscht, die Auflagen waren super dreckig und durchgelegen. Die Beach Huts gab es gar nicht mehr. Wir sind dann ausgecheckt da wir den Tag am Pool verbringen wollten und die Lage vom Hotel auch nichts anderes als Poolzeit zulässt. Nach einer Dreiviertelstunde Wartezeit haben sie uns dann gesagt dass sie uns die Kosten wenigstens erlassen und dann sind wir gegangen. Es kam kein Entschuldigung oder eine Info über Renovierungsarbeiten. Definitiv das Geld nicht wert.

The customer service is simply exceptional. The staff particularly the lady who’s name I can’t remember went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. One of the highlight of this hotel is the presence of the monkeys that can be seen swing from tree to tree. We enjoyed a fantastic holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable throughout. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ensuring we had what we needed. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a beautiful view of the jungle. Waking up to the sights and sounds of nature, like birds and rustling leaves, was a highlight of our trip. It created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that we appreciated. The food was fresh and flavorful, with every meal carefully prepared and satisfying. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, we could tell a lot of thought went into the menu and preparation. The overall atmosphere was calm and inviting, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The attention to detail in both the service and the property added to the experience. We are already planning to return soon as it was a great place to relax and recharge. If you are looking for a quiet retreat with beautiful views, good food, and friendly staff, this is a place worth considering. We left feeling rested and refreshed, and we look forward to coming back in the near future.

The real standout feature of this hotel is the food. I must say, it's the best food I have ever had. The meals are prepared with such care and attention to detail that every bite is a mouthwatering experience. The chef is truly talented and creates dishes that are both beautiful and delicious. The rooms are large and spacious. The wifi in the rooms works very well.

This hotel unique in size not too big and not too modern is well blended with nature. The service is spot on. The breakfast was just fantastic the chatter of the monkeys do Contribute to the name. wish I could stay longer. hope to come back again.
