The hotel itself, was a typical Hampton Inn. It is in need of a little bit of refurbishing, but not terrible. The problem with this hotel is the front desk, specifically with Pat. Normal check-in is 3 PM, however, I arrived at 1 PM and wanted to check in. Not get in the room, If it wasn’t ready, just check in. I’m a lifetime diamond member and could check in on the app, however, the room it was giving me was two beds instead of the one king that I requested when I made the reservation. I wanted to check with the front desk when I got there. Pat, was out front, smoking and eating when I got there, it was an absolute chore for her to come inside to talk with me. She was extremely rude and told me I could not check in until 3 PM. When I told her I’m a lifetime, diamond member and tried to check in on the app - She told me they don’t do that. I know for a fact they do and then she proceeded to tell me she was not going to be intimidated by any diamond member. At that point, I went out and called the Hilton honors diamond desk, and expressed my concern. You would think I would’ve gotten at least an apology, but no nothing. This hotel is a typical Hampton Inn, all the other employees that I encountered were great, especially the gentleman at the front desk at night, and all the breakfast employees. Pat definitely needs retraining.
