The hotel is located right in the old street, with a milk tea shop visible at its entrance. Once you step out, there are plenty of options for dining and shopping. Despite the lively surroundings, it's surprisingly quiet inside. Cuihu Lake is also very close. It's conveniently located near Wuyi Metro Station, Line 5. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite. My food delivery was sent to the wrong location, and they really went above and beyond to help me track it down. I arrived very early in the morning and was pleasantly surprised to be offered early check-in and a complimentary room upgrade! ^O^ Highly recommend!

Service was a bit lackluster as some of the staff didn’t really seem happy to serve us (eg breakfast staff, some of the receptionists), and the room had a bit of a smoking smell despite being non smoking.. sad we couldn’t use the free laundry service as that’s why we booked it but otherwise location is pretty good, short walk from Nanping pedestrian street and the railway station to take a train to other parts of Yunnan. Breakfast was ok but nothing spectacular. Had fun talking to Xiaodu too. We checked in in the middle of the night with no fuss.

My recent stay at Gongxili Jun'ao Hotel (Nanping Pedestrian Street branch) was absolutely wonderful; I simply *have* to share my experience!

The hotel's location is simply unbeatable, nestled right in the heart of Kunming's Nanping Pedestrian Street shopping district. The moment you step out, you're greeted by a vibrant, lively atmosphere. It's just a 5-minute walk to Zhengyifang Shopping Center and Kunming Old Street. Strolling through these areas at your leisure, soaking in the authentic local vibe and bustling street life, is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. What's more, the hotel offers superb connectivity. Whether you want to take the subway to Green Lake to see the seagulls or capture the stunning night view of Jinma Biji Archway, it's all incredibly convenient. Even Dianchi Lake is just about a 15-minute drive away, making getting around exceptionally easy.

Check-in at the front desk was very quick, and the staff were warm, attentive, and thorough. They even thoughtfully introduced the hotel's facilities and recommended some great local spots to explore.

Overall, my stay at Jun'ao Hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect – from its prime location and room amenities to the excellent service and common area experience. Next time I visit Kunming, I'll definitely be choosing this place again!

My first hotel stay in Kunming was a great choice. It's conveniently located near Kunming Old Street. I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. The bathroom boasted quality fixtures and even had voice-activated lighting, which was a fantastic touch! The kind front desk staff provided complimentary breakfast, and the room also included two flower cakes. My only minor gripe was the distance to the elevator, which made handling luggage a bit difficult. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

**Facilities:** The upgraded room on the 2nd floor included disposable soft cotton towels and bath towels, plus a complimentary facial mask 😄.
**Cleanliness:** Very satisfactory.
**Service:** Thoughtful and attentive. They even proactively offered bottled water upon check-out.

The overall ambiance was pleasant, though the evening atmosphere could be enhanced. The bed was very soft and offered a wonderfully enveloping comfort. The bathroom featured a convenient wet/dry separation. We also appreciated the welcome amenity upon check-in and the departure gift. On the downside, the soundproofing wasn't ideal.

It was all very nice, also the garden in the back. I only had breakfast once, there was plenty of options mainly chinese style but also toast and jam. Service was always very friendly despite the language barrier.  The location is also quite good you can easily reach the metro or order a taxi to the door. The center is also not too far by foot or the public bikes. I would sire stay here again :)

Hygiene: The hygiene is clean and tidy, and the toiletries and bed covers are very reassuring
Environment: The environment is comfortable, beautiful and quiet
Service: The service attitude is very good~ I like it very much
I like this stay very much, which is better than most hotels in Kunming, and the locals also like it~

The location is nearby the KunMing zoo but is quite a distance to the famous street. No night life around the hotel.
The room is clean and big but the views is unexpected ugly (rooftop views).
The food served in buffet style and taste so so.
The most happy announcement is that do have lift!

The hotel is newly renovated, the facilities are very good, the air conditioner can cool and heat, it is a good choice when the weather is cooling down, the service of the hotel is very thoughtful, the service staff are very dedicated, just like their own home, the facilities in the room are of high quality, the bedding is also very comfortable, the hotel also provides free upgrades, the executive lounge is not bad, the hotel's breakfast is also in line with the standards of star hotels, desserts, noodles, rice buns, stir-fried dishes, fruits, coffee, in short, I am very satisfied with this stay, I will come again next time.

The location is fantastic! It's super close to shopping areas and attractions, with a subway station right downstairs. The room was clean, comfortable, and stylishly designed, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The service was thoughtful and attentive; the front desk staff were especially warm and helpful. Plus, the breakfast rice noodles were incredibly authentic! Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming!

Very satisfactory accommodation, Xiaodu whole house smart, takeaway can be ordered at will. The store clerks are very kind, respond promptly, and are responsive to requests. You can also do your own laundry. When we stayed there, my friend asked me to give it a full five-star rating! Black Dragon Pond is nearby. Although I didn’t go there, I went directly to Yulong to see the Golden Mountain in the Rise of the Sun. But if you take bus 101 back from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, you can pass by and walk there.

The room is very clean, the bedding is very comfortable, and the bed is relatively soft. The facilities and equipment are relatively complete. The hotel environment is relatively good, and it looks atmospheric from the outside. The many green plants in Datang look very fresh. The service of the lady at the front desk of the hotel was very good, very warm and polite. The transportation is also relatively convenient. It is relatively close to the ancient city and the bus station. Traveling in the off-season is more cost-effective. A very good experience.

After much deliberation on which hotel to choose, I finally settled on this one, and it absolutely did not disappoint! The room was more spacious than I expected; I could spread out my luggage without feeling cramped. The furniture looked very new, with no signs of wear and tear. The bed was perfectly comfortable – not too soft, not too hard. Even with my back issues, I slept soundly through the night without any discomfort. The air conditioning cooled the room quickly and was incredibly quiet. When I left in the morning, I encountered the cleaning staff who proactively asked if I needed my room tidied. She was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient; it's just a five-minute walk to the shopping mall, making dining and shopping incredibly hassle-free. It offers superb value for money, and I've already recommended it to my colleagues!
