The hotel is located at Laoshan Gate of Changbai Mountain West Scenic Area, next to the mountain entrance. There is a direct shuttle bus to Tianchi in the West District every morning. , you need to book tickets normally on the Changbai Mountain WeChat applet, any time on the day of going up the mountain, and then contact the hotel front desk to make an appointment online to go up the mountain, and you can also refund the 24r external line fare. Although the hotel has been built for a long time, due to its log-style style, it does not look outdated and the pricing is reasonable. It is an excellent choice for family travel during holidays.

So if you are coming here, you are going to Wanda Ski Resort. There are so many many hotels in the area that it really doesn't matter so much which one you pick. Holiday Inn is one of the furthest away from the resort, but the price reflects this. However, it is still only a 10-15min walk (even when it's cold and icy) from the resort. The hotel is busy, there will be wait for the front desk, this is why service got 4/5, but the actual information from staff was okay (no English though so god bless my Chinese partner) The hotel has a mini cinema, a restaurant and access to the ski slopes. You can hire ski's, snowboards along with all the boots and clothing required so you don't need to worry about that. In the hotel is the rental place, you rent your gear and you simply walk out of the hotel and you are at the ski slopes. Please note this is NOT the same 10min walk to Wanda ski resort, the hotel has its own access to the mountain and you use that. The restaurant is fine and breakfast was a buffet with mainly Chinese but some western stuff too. The room, it's not large, but not cramped. Very warm, we even needed the windows open at -40C outside to avoid being too hot. There is a mini supermarket in the hotel, but a better 24 hour store across the road. I think for the money paid compared to other hotels, its very good value. Maybe other hotels have bigger rooms or more restaurants, but as every hotel is next to each other, I wouldn't bother paying more to get one closer to the resort as you can save thousands of RMB for a 1 min walk. And as most of your time will be spent in Wanda ski resort, you won't be in your room much. I doubt I would return to Changbaishan / Wanda Ski resort as an area, but if I did, then as long as the value was still there, Holiday Inn Express is a good enough choice

Checked in at 9:30, before the National Day. I wanted to arrive before the crowds arrived, but it rained a little, from check-in to check-out. Fortunately, the resort itself has a beautiful environment and many supporting activities so it is not boring. Manager Liu was enthusiastic to receive us, explained the rights and precautions very carefully, comprehensively and professionally, and handled the consultations in a timely manner. The hotel is very clean and hygienic, and the gym has a table tennis room and a cricket room, which is very interesting! The breakfast is rich and the front desk staff are also very polite. Very cost-effective! The first choice for vacation.

most affordable option within the entire ski resort, located at the end of the resort but the resort isn't very big so walking a few mins more is perfectly fine. Very nice and comfortable, ski passes for each night of stay, access to the hotel's own hot spring (i believe it is the only hotel in the resort with this), buffet breakfasts, and free airport pick-up/drop-offs make this hotel a very good value stay!

In the last two days of my trip to Changbai Mountain, I chose to stay at the Luneng Hometown Folk Hotel. This is the hotel I fell in love with when I searched online. For authentic southerners, this place is too close to the Northeast. I didn't feel uncomfortable sleeping on the distinctive red and green kang. On the contrary, I slept very well every night. The layout of the room is very similar to the TV series ”The World” that I just watched, but it has been integrated with many modern living equipment and facilities. The floor heating kang heating lamp fan is also very suitable for controlling the indoor temperature. The most touching thing about the hotel is the service. Every staff member is very enthusiastic and patiently answers every question, and arranges vehicles for pick-up and drop-off at any time. Of course, I have to mention the hotel's catering here. It is really delicious and suitable for us southerners. No wonder some people on DP praise it as the ceiling of the entire Changbai Mountain Northeast cuisine. After playing in Changbai Mountain for six days, I don’t think it’s too much. Whether it’s breakfast or self-ordered dinner, it’s fragrant and delicious. We even have to pack it up. It's a pity that it rained for two days and I couldn't see the whole hotel. I'll come back to ”Homeland” during the snow season next time and wear the Northeast flower cotton jacket or Korean clothing provided by the hotel for free. It will definitely be very photogenic. A small suggestion, it would be more perfect if there were automatic curtains with intelligent control. He also sent a warm reminder to inform the hotel of the supporting rights. He was really a thoughtful butler! Facilities: The room is fully equipped with wide views and very comfortable! Environment: The package rights of the room are too good to be true. It is enough to play in the resort for two days. The whole family is very satisfied! Changbai Mountain is really beautiful during the National Day holiday! Wanda Resort is worthy of being a top mountain tourist resort. I look forward to winter so that I can come to ski!
