This is possibly the worst hotel experience for me in the United States. Check in was unpleasant. Instead of a welcome, I was greeted by a stern face surrounded by signs listing all the regulations, 'Do Nots' and advising a security charge deposit. The building itself is awkward, with a single access not from the lobby, but through a security door in the rear. The corridor carpeting was worn, and filthy with stains. The room was large, but unsuitable. The only lighting was a table lamp on one side of the bed, and a floor lamp on the other side of the bed. The rest of the room had no lighting at all. I had to use a flashlight to unpack, and to use my laptop. The bathroom had a pedestal sink and a tiny wall shelf, approximately five inches by twelve inches, meaning minimal storage. The sink surround was sloped, so my toothbrush fell off. There is no way a woman could put out all her bathroom items. There was only one washcloth and small ragged towels. Worst of all was room environment. There was no room thermostat or any other way to adjust the temperature. The air conditioning was running full blast and the room was so cold I had to sleep with a sweatshirt on. In addition, it was too cold to take a shower. This place is horrible and should be avoided. How it got a decent Trip Advisor rating is a total mystery.
