Been going for the last 18 months since Christopher and his wife took over. Best food I have tasted and I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants in my time. Staff are always friendly and so are the locals. Food is always fresh and no microwave crap. It takes a little longer for food to arrive but it’s quality, if you want instant service go to McDonalds. We booked Christmas Day dinner for the 6 of us December 2024 £50 a head for 3 courses and was delicious with no time limit. Pub is also very clean and well maintained, very welcoming if we either go for food or just a few drinks

Absolutely amazing food and couldn’t believe the low price for the 6 of us! Everyone happy and well fed. Great atmosphere and happy friendly staff, couldn’t do enough for us. We will be back. Thank you for you hospitality, we will be back soon

Absolutely fantastic customer service, unfortunately we weren’t able to go as planned but Manager was especially helpful & friendly I would certainly recommend & I will be re booking again am looking forward to visiting very soon more than satisfied

The first thing to say is the quality of the food was excellent. Good quality ingredients prepared by a skilful chef. The staff were lovely and did all they could to make our family group Sunday lunch a good experience. Thank you. On the downside we did have to wait a long time but good food takes good preparation plus we weren't in a hurry so not a major problem. They do however need to sort the menu - have a look at similar restaurants in the area and see what they are offering, simplify it a little and include a few more standards. They also need to sort the bar stocking issues out - no ale, no guinness, no lime cordial, very limited wine choices. I would return but please take on the points above and you will have a good venue.

A very nice pub with beautiful interiors. Came for dinner with work colleagues. However TBH, was a little disappointed compared to past experience at this pub. No wines or cask ales. Food, at least some of them was not freshly prepared as advertised. Hope improvements can be made.

Positives. Bed was comfortable, breakfast bacon and sausages were nice. Good bits are above. Disorganised is probably the best description, friendly staff however it seems to take an age to get anything sorted, basic things such as breakfast should be easy - breakfast was sent back twice.

This is my third lunch over three weeks, I’ve also eaten dinner here twice the food is excellent. The staff very polite and accommodating. I can’t wait to eat here again. The owner is so keen to please and even re-opened the kitchen so my family could eat late one evening post house move…

It was a special birthday so 4 of us went for dinner. The staff were all very friendly and helpful . The restaurant was clean and pretty. We pre ordered the tomahawk steaks so that the restaurant were able to pre smoke them, and what a great choice that was . It was the best steak I have eaten flavoursome tender and plenty of it. Add to that there is Parking on site and all very reasonably priced we have found a real gem and will definitely be going back x

Fell upon this place whilst lost. Travelling from Alicante to Manchester, lost, no phone, no satnav. Walked in to a warm welcome, the atmosphere was friendly. All the people around were helpful. The locals helped me (after several pints) on the right path and with a smile on my face. Great place, the blonde lady and husband - thank you..x
