Ebisuya

This is a famous old ryokan where many prominent people have stayed. Unfortunately, it is showing its age. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Our room was large and had a nice sitting area next to the windows overlooking the water/beach. The room’s condition was fairly nice but needs refreshing in some areas. It was nice to have a toilet and shower/bath in the room, but they were extremely small and basic. Our dinner and breakfast were served in our room, and the selection and taste were fine. Finally, however, the halls and public bath were really showing their age and are in desperate need of repair, and other areas simply need refreshing. Considering the need for repairs and remodeling, the price we paid was considerably more than it should have been, and we were somewhat disappointed.
