We rented bikes from Maria for a trip through the Rioja wine country to Laguardia and back. She and her husband Carlos were MORE than helpful. We got lost because our app stopped working. One call and Carlos drove out to fix the problem! We already had reservations at an AirBNB in Logrono, but next time we're also staying with Maria and Carlos at Pension Ubeda, which is just 15 minuets away.

En la habitación Deluxe, la cama de matrimonio es enorme y el colchón muy cómodo. Sitio muy limpio. La habitación está decorada con buen gusto y es funcional, con muchos detalles como las zapatillas y la ventana anti-mosquitos. El restaurante que nos aconsejó fue la mejor idea de cena en agosto. La pensión la lleva una chica emprendedora que además, escribe libros para niños. Fue una excelente experiencia y esperamos volver para alquilar una bici, que también tiene RentaBike

It was a last minute decision and so glad. We had an awesome room on the 2nd (3rd floor US) with private bathroom. Was totally surprised that we had a dorm frig and lots of toiletries including bath salts. Checkin was great and super responsive. They also have a bike rental place with great bikes we took out the following day. Nice communal area with a real espresso machine, microwave, etc, Don’t let the tile change for each area fool you. Awesome value with cafe below. Wonderful. church plaza and a public swimming 🏊 pool 500 m away. Definitely the only place to stay here.

Hemos quedado encantados. Aparcamiento: hay unas cuantas plazas justo enfrente. También por la zona no hay problema en aparcar. Recepción: lo mejor es avisar (por teléfono o WhatsApp) de la hora aproximada de tu llegada. Te estarán esperando. La dueña es muy amable y se desvive por el huésped. La factura nos ha sido enviada unos minutos después al correo electrónico. Nos ha enseñado todos los puntos turísticos y nos ha dado los prospectos. Habitación: teniendo en cuenta que es una casa particular reformada, está de fábula. Todas son diferentes, con una decoración diferente. Se puede ver en su web. Nos tocó la Chardonne: preciosa, con pequeños detalles infinitos, decorada con mucho gusto. La cama es grande y cómoda con 2 almohadas para cada huésped. Tiene cafetera en la habitación. Daba a un pequeño patio del edificio de enfrente. No hemos tenido ruido y la ventana es hermética. El baño es grande y muy funcional. Pero lo mejor de todo que es impoluto, muy limpio. Tiene gel de ducha y el jabón a disposición. Desayuno: a la tercera planta en una cómoda habitación te sirven en una cestita pan y bollería recién hecha, fruta, mermelada o miel de la Rioja, jamón y queso, zumo recién exprimido, hay leche, tomate y aceite de oliva. ¡La gloria! El café y el agua son gratuitos. Wifi: gratuito y funcional. El pueblo está situado en un punto estratégico de la zona. A unos 15 minutos de Laguardia o Logroño o Ezcaray. 1h40min. de Bilbao o Burgos. Lo podemos recomendar con los ojos cerrados a todo aquel quien valora la dedicación, limpieza, amabilidad, comodidad y el "buen hacer" en un establecimiento de hostelería. ¡Muchas gracias por una excelente estancia!
