石和温泉の宿の中で、最近我が家のお気に入りの宿です。 最近、石和温泉のパンフレット(HELLO ISAWA)に古柏園の社長さんのインタビュー記事があり、興味深く読ませていただきました。 107畳もあった宴会場を個室が並ぶ食事処に生まれ変わらせたなど、新たな時代のスパツーリズムを試みておられるとの事です。 館内リニューアル(リフォーム)もされているとの事で、今回来てみたら、また変わってました。 部屋は多分以前は和室だったと思わる部屋が洋室になり、ベットと椅子と小さいテーブルがありました。 ベッドがあってもそんなに狭くなく座布団もあり、和室風にも使える部屋でした。 しかし、木のベッド台のへりがマットレスより二周り位大きくて、足をぶつそうで、気をつけました。 電源を探していたら、後から気がついたのですが、新しいベッドの背もたれの上に電気のプラグがありました。 テレビは大きく、ユーチューブが見れます。鍵二本も便利です。 また大浴場の脱衣洗面エリアが、以前は昭和レトロの雰囲気でしたが、リニューアルされました。化粧水なども完備されています。 男女入れ替え制のお風呂の方は以前と同じですが、内風呂の両側に窓があり、広い大浴場です。 翌朝6時過ぎに露天風呂に入ったら、山々のあいだから日の出を拝めました。 7階にあるお風呂の休憩所からも近隣山々と、南アルプスの山々が見渡せます。 夕食は個室風のお食事処にでいただきました。 見た目も美しく、一つ一つ運ばれる美味しい料理に、つれあいも「年に2回位来てもいい宿だなぁ。昔とは全く違う。」と、親と来たという何十年前も前と比べて話していました。 今回も石和温泉BYOで、持ち込み料1000円で、山梨ワインフルボトルを持ち込みましたが、こちらでは山梨ワインフルボトルが2530円からでリーズナブルでした(ハーフは1540円から)。 それならわざわざ持ち込まなくても良かったね。」と話しました。 デザートの求肥イチゴムースは、食べたことないスイーツで美味でした。 なお、今回の食事にはローストビーフも鳥の水炊きもあったので、沢山食べる方も満足するメニューと思いました。 朝食バイキングですが、夕食時の個室風の部屋でいただきます。 バイキング時に、係の方がお盆やビニール手袋を渡してくれて、また係の方が常にいて、バイキングでも食べ物エリアがキレイで、気持ち良く食事ができます。 牛すじ煮込みがトロトロでした。またビビンバ丼があり、いろいろのっけました。 フルーツは4種類あり、朝からプチケーキでコーヒーを飲み、部屋にもコーヒーを持ち帰りました。 朝食後に、ふとお庭を見ると、お庭も以前よりキレイになっており、大きな華やかな鯉が池(人口滝あり)で泳いでました。 最後に、部屋の鍵のタグ(鍵番号が書いてある)が小さくて、鍵かどこかに紛れ込んで、見つからなくなったことがありました(後から見つかりましたが)。鍵についているキーホルダーは大き目が良いと思われました。 古柏園は最近来る度に進化していますが、以前の良さも残っています。 また季節を変えて、泊まりに来たいです。

If you are looking for a zen accommodation that is far and away from the hustle and bustle, one that exudes tranquility, has the perfect Mt Fuji view with no photobomb (no one to vie with you for the best view / photo spot) and is new, modern and basically impeccable a room, this is the right hotel for you. I have almost nothing but praises for this accommodation except perhaps its location. As it is allll the way up the hilly area and right on the opposite side of Lake Kawaguchiko’s main bustling area, you can really only rely on 1) their shuttle service which has pretty limited timings (last shuttle at 4.30pm) cos after all it’s mostly meant for shuttling guests on arrival only 2) taxi which is expensive ~ 10mins ride up for 3,000 yen 3) driving your own vehicle. Apart from its distant proximity to the station and all, it really is the best kind of accommodation where it’s almost like an attraction itself, the kind where you intentionally spend a night at the hotel just to get the full experience. Have a look at the photos and let the photos do the talking (sorry they are kinda blurry as I took screenshots off the room video instead). Service is excellent, and staff is really nice and helpful too albeit limited English-speaking staff. They have a Mandarin-speaking staff onsite which is really helpful. My friend and I opted for breakfast as well which is pretty good, but note that you will have to inform the receptionist on your preferred time slot (nothing like the buffet style / seating) at the end of the day (they would likely approach you to ask abt it though so no worries even if you had forgotten abt it). Note that the private hot spring bath in the room is simply natural hot spring water and not onsen; silly me thought it was onsen 🥲 anyhow, the bathtub was really clean too so plus points to the housekeeping. All in all, a really lovely, enjoyable and most definitely unforgettable stay at Kumonoue Fuji! Would I choose to stay here again on my next trip to Mt Fuji? Absolutely, in a heartbeat!

This lovely hotel (its a bit dated, but everything is clean and very nice) is right on the lake, and very quiet. Its 10 minutes driving distance from the Kawaguchi-Ko bus stand/train station and there is a free hotel shuttle every hour. I would definitely go for rooms with a view - either of the lake, or of Fujisan. We went for rooms with lake view, and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are big and very comfortable, with a desk, an armchair and a sofa. There is also a small balcony, with amazing views of the lake. Its so peaceful, especially in the early morning or during sunset. The hotel is located in a large garden. There is an indoor and lovely outdoor onsen, where you can bath in the warm water whilst seeing bamboo and hearing birds. Breakfast is a good buffet. The restaurant for dinner is rather expensive, so i would recommend eating in one of the few restaurants in the small town.

In spring, large peach blossom cut flowers are displayed at the entrance. In addition, raw orchid flowers are placed everywhere in the hall and are gorgeous. I've been there several times, but it was the first time I stayed at the West Building. From the Japanese-style room, I could see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. It is convenient because there are two keys to the room. The bath is in the main building, and at first I always go to the observation wine bath on the 7th floor. Personally, I like this wine bath the most than the wine bath in various places. First of all, it does not have a strong scent. In the wine bath, there are many inns that smell like grape juice in the dressing room and beyond, but this wine bath is not like that, and it is good hot water. According to the pamphlet of the inn, ”Authentic wine extract is given, and the good spring is still exquisite in Japan only wine bath.” Men can use the wine bath at night, but since the iron rule that they do not go to the bath after drinking is my home, I have never taken this wine bath. The next morning I went to the public bath on the first floor. This open-air bath is three steps, and it is divided into hot water, suitable hot water, and loose water of the source, and the lukewarm water is comfortable with hot water that can be used all the time to the shoulder. The indoor bath was quite hot water. Cosmetics are placed in the wash area. Dinner was served at a large restaurant. There are also a number of items, and freshly fried items are served. It was a product 々 that feels spring. It was the most delicious one (I forgot to take the photo). The noodles were not too soft and the miso taste was good. The rice was delicious, but I couldn't eat it all, so I regret what I asked for. Breakfast has been here several times, but it was my first time to have a buffet. It was a pretty good buffet with Yamanashi Prefecture and local (Fuefuki City) products. I was happy to have a raho (noodles are treasure sword ramen) that I wanted to eat all the time. I thought that hoto noodles would go well with ramen soup, and there were also cherry blossoms, Fujizakura pork wieners, Ashikawa Village konjac, Takekawa rice, etc. Local production was also used. I drank two cups while saying that the coffee was UCC instant, which was a little disappointing. After breakfast, I relaxed in the lobby lounge, watching the cherry blossoms and looking at the garden. These cherry blossoms are popular with customers. When you feed them, you will be surprised because a huge number of cherry blossoms come. This time, the most gorgeous cherry blossoms and peaches came when they were in full bloom, walked on the cherry blossom hot spring street, saw the cherry blossoms at night, and came to this inn on the hot spring street. We also recommend that you see the old photos of Ishiwa Onsen at the end of the lobby. A lot of pictures of the peaceful blue sky hot spring are on display at the hot spring that springs from the vineyard. When I checked out and got into the car and started running, the landlady who was being sent off to other customers dropped her hand and sent me off. I will go to stay again.

This time it was an early check-in (14:00) & a plan with a hot spring beer. The futon is already laid, but the room is 15 tatami mats, so it is wide 々. There is a digging futon, and a kotatsu futon is hung, but I thought that it could be used instead of a chair or table if there is no futon anymore. Perhaps because I went to the bath immediately, there was no one, and I was lucky to have a splendid rock bath and an open-air bath alone. The open-air bath is a lukewarm water that flows directly from the source, and it is lukewarm water from 36 to 37 degrees, but this is very comfortable for me who likes lukewarm water. The indoor bath is boiling water and is a rock bath. I always wonder how the huge rocks in the bath and in the garden were carried. It's very huge. This time, I think it's probably a drain in the washroom, but I was worried about the smell. When I heard later, I heard that the men's bath didn't smell separately. Other than that, it is a good hot spring rock bath, the dressing area is clean, and amenities such as lotion are also available. This bath is not a men's and women's replacement system, but I hope that the open-air bath of the men's bath is large, and one day it will be a men's and women's replacement system. I had dinner at the restaurant. It is a kaiseki dish at ”Gourmet Kai Seat”. There was a cute clay brush, and it was spring content such as firefly squid and cherry blossoms. Almost everything is set on the table, and some items will come later. It is heat 々 because it is prepared according to the time when the customer comes. Also, you can lend me Chakkaman and light it at your own timing, but you can keep your eyes on the hot lid, and if you take the lid later, you will be able to speak to me many times. I think the quantity and quality of kaiseki dishes are high. The special impression this time was the spare ribs on the Western dishes, which was quite large and delicious. Also, tuna sashimi consumption No.1 like Yamanashi Prefecture, tuna sashimi was delicious (other sashimi leaf scallops and Yamanashi salmon). In addition, when cooked, the cherry blossom shrimp kamameshi becomes a kamameshi or a slightly dark cherry blossom color, and the scent of shrimp is also good. At the restaurant, there is a customer service staff who is very attentive. Also, I thought that the elderly Nakai was kind and good at attentiveness and voice to customers. Thanks to you, it was a fun and delicious dinner time with the local wine of Yamanashi Fuefuki City (1,000 yen for bringing in) that I BYO. Breakfast is also at the same venue. It is said that only this inn is served in the Byu Hotel Group, and breakfast is served in Japanese food that is not hiking. Juice, milk and coffee are buffet style. The tuna sashimi (buts) was delicious from the morning, and Yamanashi's specialty treasure sword was replaced by miso soup, and it was delicious, such as fukimiso and handmade egg grilled. Coffee was also hot 々, and we drank the second cup together. １ The best thing is the cheerful greetings and refills from the morning of the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is bright. It is an inn that I want to use in different seasons.

First time use. It was a restaurant meal in a Japanese room for a recreational contract facility. It was hot when I was worried about snow and made a train. There is a transfer from the station. The lobby is large and the ceiling is high and feels good. The CORONA countermeasure was alcohol sterilization in each elevator hall, bath, etc., and it was easy to carry from the time of the car to the luggage reception room. The room is a two-way Japanese room, mineral water and tea bag tea. I feel old but well maintained There are two washbasins, and two can be used at the same time. The bath is said to have seen the man hot water from the open-air bath. Wide to the bath 々. I feel that the amount of water flowing is also comfortable and the shoulder is terrible. The dressing room is also large and the interval of the dressing basket is taken. The special thing is that the hot water at the foot of the bathroom entrance flows. I thought I wanted to flow every time I went out of the public bath. I felt the same with my friend. I was happy. Dinner is standard Japanese food, but it is quite a volume. There is no showy ingredients, but seasonal ingredients, politely made and local ingredients were also delicious. I also enjoyed six wines from Yamanashi. I explained it carefully to Mr. Sommelier. I would like to enjoy domestic wine. It was a good opportunity to find something you like When you walk in the lobby or something, the staff greeting is always pleasant, and this is the time, but it was good to come. Fabulous “destination” hotel…. The food was incredible (either French or Japanese degustation style menu). You could not get a better viewpoint for Mt Fuji. Advice: traditional public onsen so no tattoos but they have private baths too so happy days; a car would be helpful as the taxi service is fairly sp****; if you don’t have a car then book Taka from Native Fuji Tours (he was 10/10)… and pay the extra for a higher floor… we had one with a bath on the balcony… stunning!

Our room has Mount Fuji view, which is really nice :) - the two pictures below were taken in the room. We also enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the hotel! The shabu-shabu dinner allowed us to order unlimited beef, pork and veggies within 90 mins, and the hotel offers buffet breakfast with great variety of food and drink choices. The hotel is close to both the bus stop 4 and the bus stop 6 of red/purple/green lines, so depending on where one plan to go, one can get on/off at either bus stop, with a few minute walk from the hotel. (For example, it took us about 15 mins to walk from hotel to the cable car station.) The staff there are really friendly, with excellent services - a big thank to them! There are two onsen areas at the hotel - one in the main building and another in the annex building. We went to the main building one, but it was a bit small and quite crowded, so the hygiene there was suboptimal. This is the only minor thing that we wish that the hotel could do better. All in all, our stay was wonderful :)

The best of the best, I really think it is one of the best hotels in Jiafu. The hotel service is very good, whether it is a few people traveling, I think it is very suitable, and the room is also very high-end and very clean. The hot spring is also very refreshing.

I stayed in a room with a hot spring bath on the Mt. Fuji side of the East Building. Blessed with the weather, I took a long view of Mt. Fuji from the evening to the next morning and soaked in the hot springs many times. (Laughs) The quality of the Kawaguchiko Onsen at this hotel is a neutral calcium, sodium-sulphate, and chlorine-based disinfection is heated and circulated, including a large communal bath and a private room bath. It is not a source hanging, but it is well managed including the spring temperature. It warmed up well. It seems to be a room meal, but I stayed at 々 at the end of the year 12/29 night, probably because there were many guests, in the dining room on the 7th floor, dinner was a course kaiseki dish, breakfast was a buffet. The beef stew that I expected was also served on the course because the amount was small, but it felt like a taste. Each was carefully cooked in a small amount, and the quality and quantity were satisfactory. I stayed until 11:00 in the morning, and I took a bath 5 times in another 々 large communal bath once, 3 times in the room bath. In addition, the large communal bath has a waterfall and an open-air rock bath in the foreground, and a large cypress bath in the back. I think the impression will change depending on the way Mt. Fuji looks, but I was lucky 々. Since it is the year-end and New Year holidays, the high accommodation fee is natural, but it was a satisfying content for the room, meal, bath, service, and environment that matched it.
