We had a lovely stay at The Lighthouse in Frome. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms have a unique charm – thoughtfully decorated with great interiors that really stand out from the usual hotel style. It’s just a short drive to the town centre, so we could explore Frome easily and still enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The green space around the hotel is beautiful – perfect for morning or evening walks. Breakfast was standard but fresh and nicely presented. Overall, it was a calm and refreshing stay. Would happily come back again!

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Lighthouse. From the phone call to book to the moment we left the staff couldn’t be more accommodating towards us especially considering my husband has a physical disability. The rooms were very clean and lovely to stay in and the breakfast delicious with a great variety of breakfast and hot food cooked to order. The setting is remarkable and we will definitely return!

We have stayed at the Lighthouse inTytherington many times as it is not only stunning with the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The accommodation is outstanding, comfortable and spotless. In addition and as important and more Rowena and Ferdinand are just delightful, so welcoming and committed to making sure we having everything is just right. Nothing is too much trouble, so professional and at the same time with a sense of humour and superb manners..very helpful too about things to do in and around the area, always asking how our day has gone... It is sad indeed that the lighthouse is closing as not only did we enjoy going there but it became a sanctuary as we live in noisy London.. Rowena and her team work so hard to ensure all who stay there are looked after and more. The breakfast always just right for us with lots of choices..time for a chat too... Would be so lovely to hear that the Lighthouse will continue in a similar way in the future as we are going to miss it and the staff greatly..

Very nice place, friendly welcome with loads of room and lovely views (good for walking around). Our room was up to date and comfortable, and totally clean . When I heard breakfast was continental I was a bit dubious but it was delicious with an all you can eat buffet . The only downside was it was a bit out of the way for visiting Frome!

Beautiful hotel, the staff were so warm and friendly we felt very welcome. Great for families. The hotel has a lovely playground and beautiful lakes to walk around. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were super comfy! Exceptional breakfast. The staff were so helpful, from the minute we arrived, I’ve always worked in a hospitality background and I was blown away with how friendly the staff were, they were so chatty and polite.

Stayed in an amazing family room in the "farmhouse". Beautiful spacious room and bathroom, spotlessly clean, with fridge, kettle tea coffee etc. Bottled water each day and complimentary toiletries. Downstairs we had use of a living room with board games etc. Fantastic grounds with beautiful views and a great childrens play area for our 10 year old. Being able to use the pool next door ( free during our stay) was a bonus. The Lighthouse team were very friendly and welcoming. My daughter loved how they carefully arranged her soft toys when making up the room too!! Delicious breakfast, daughter loved the pancake machine. Some reviews mention it is odd pre ordering but we found it easy and it meant that our breakfast was freshly made for us. Overall, loved our stay in a beautiful peaceful place would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place to stay just outside Frome. Rooms are beautifully finished and property is a great place to relax. Staff are welcoming and cafe is a nice feature too.

Perfect venue for a family get together and to view local attractions. Pretty grounds and rooms attractively decorated with historical features and practical facilities too. A warm welcome from Rowena and Simon. We all enjoyed our stay at The Lighthouse, Frome.

I highly recommend The Lighthouse, we were visiting Longleat and the Lighthouse was in a great location just 10 minutes away. What a wonderful place to stay! Our room was beautiful styled with attention to detail. The grounds and buildings are stunning, so relaxing and peaceful. The staff were welcoming and very helpful plus a great breakfast was included. Thanks for a lovely stay! Xx
