The Villas at French Lick Springs

You should travel to southern Indiana to French Lick Springs Villa and Resort for a quiet beautiful fall setting.

This could be the very best time share experience you may ever have if you want any or all of the following. Outdoor experiences (golf (3 courses), hiking, horseback riding, trap shooting, fishing, boating), fine dining, ******, shopping, live entertainment. The units are very large, quiet and close to all of the above, now they are dated but well maintained. We go back every year and always find something new to do. The relaxation part is what is best, take a sauna, sit on the porch and escape every day life.

Resort is older and needs updating. They are doing that. Fun things to do in the area, including the train ride and tours of the two large hotels. Underground boat ride was great. So was the German restaurant in Jasper.

Very dated rooms, but the location is great. We have owned timeshares for 29 years and have never had to buy our own toilet paper, coffee filters, dish washer or dish soap before. I was 1 coffee filter short of our stay. Lucky I used that type at home. No coffee to start your stay with. Make sure you bring some or have time to shop vefore moring.

Some might find the accommodations of this resort outdated. I found them comforting and it felt like I was home away from home. I enjoyed the older style and my stay was very relaxing. I traveled alone, always felt safe and everything was perfect. The little town of French Lick is beautiful and has a calming atmosphere. I look forward to my next stay.

The unit layout was great and even though the units may have some age, the age did not show. The decor was excellent. You could see the units were well maintained and they were clean when we arrived. If there were one negative thing, it would be that there were several steps to get from the parking lot to the unit. Otherwise, a great unit with great staff.

Lots to do and the Villa was very comfortable and spacious. Plus it was in a great location. It is important to note that there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the Villa and inside the Villa to get to the bedrooms and bathrooms. However, the main level does have a bathroom with a shower, Jacuzzi, and Sauna Room

Excellent Amenities, Location & Staff. However, They need to buy/ clean “ALL” the cloth furniture (in the living-room), smelled bad). Room had an odor. They had a utility-room next to my outside door & I used the supplies to RECLEAN room. However had to cover furniture

I should’ve gone with my first impression when I read some of the reviews, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. After calling them several times prior to my arrival I told them that I was very allergic to mildew and if the room smelled as such, I would not be able to stay there because I would lose my voice. long story short, No sooner did I open the door to the unit. There was a tremendous smell of mildew as well as ozone, which they tried to hide the smell or eliminate it. Unfortunately, I have no voice And a spoiled seven day vacation. The staff was Accommodating as they gave me a refund and I was off to Louisville the nearest city. Never again I don’t know how RCI stays in business it’s shameful. I even paid a fee For an updated room. Which wasn’t updated at all. Truly, a disappointment I warned you and I’ve traveled a lot. Never again.
