Motel 6 Percival, IA

I gave 3 stars because of an experience we had with them, not because of the motel itself. We reserved a room through Priceline but when we got there they said they did not have a reservation for us. I showed the email confirmation but they said they had been sold out since earlier that day and we should have never been able to make the reservation in the first place. We had to find another motel that night and were charged by priceline for the room. I have disputed this with my credit card company and they asked me to get an email confirmation from Motel 6 in Percival to provide proof we did not stay at this motel that night. I spoke to Twila, the manager who ended up telling me that her Franchise Agent said they are not allowed to get involved. I asked for his number to try to explain the situation and she refused to give it. She said she would call him and give him my number but she doubted he would return my call. I find this to be very rude to not be able to just get a confirmation email that we were not able to use the reservation. Motel 6 got their money for that room, and we were charged from priceline. I filed a complaint with BBB hoping to get some resolution.

First time staying in a Motel 6, so wasn't sure what to expect. We were on a road trip with the parents and everyone was tired by the time we got to that area, and there was nothing nearby we could find, so decided to give it a try. David helped us with check-in and he was super friendly and helpful. Both our rooms on the ground floor were functional and relatively clean, and we all settled in fairly quickly. Even though the motel is near a 24-hour Travel Center, we did not hear any noise and everyone slept well. No breakfast at this motel and Wendy's next door wasn't open when we checked out around 8am the next morning.

A nicer Motel 6 I usually dont stay at Motel 6 as they dont offer much beyond a room and most are in poor condition but this location was a decent hotel. They still didnt have a breakfast but the rooms were in good condition. I would stay here again when I'm back in the area.

A place to get a little sleep Nice location. Convenient stopping location. TV barely worked.

The staff was polite and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice overall accommodations and experience for the price.

No shower The bathtub left much to be desired. There was a showerhead but no way to use it. There was no stopper in the tub to be able to take a bath. There was a plastic mat I used to stop the tub.
