Property Description
For those seeking solitude…..you know who you are… Toast marshmallows and watch the stars at our high altitude, low light pollution mountain paradise gem, privately nestled in a tall pine and aspen forest. Very private, very quiet. At 9,300 feet, the summers are cool, the wildflowers are plentiful and the stars are bright. Sip your coffee on the deck and maybe the local moose, elk or deer will pay you a visit. Wildlife you won’t miss- mosquitos! Enjoy your stay in our mosquito free environment. Sleep upstairs on a queen sized bed or downstairs on the full sized sofa sleeper. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, table settings, basic kitchen appliances, cooking utensils. Keurig coffee maker, (including K-cups), microwave, toaster oven and fridge with freezer. We know how important a campfire in the mountains is and as local bans and contidions permit, safe campfires are always welcome. If staying with young children, please note the steepness of the stairs. Pets are not allowed due to issues with allergies. Star gazing is especially amazing as it is a high elevation with little light pollution. The local Cotopaxi Store is about 20 minutes away. They carry gas, groceries, deli, meats and at least one of everything else you could need. Mountain towns: looking for local shops, restaurants and strolls? Salida and Canon City are both about 45 minutes away. Looking for some hot springs? There is an indoor hot springs pool in Salida. Mount Princeton is just past Salida with its renowned hot springs. White Water Rafting: Some of the best in Colorado along the Arkansas River! Royal Gorge, home of the highest suspension bridge in the US, is a 50 minute drive from the cabin. Visiting in the Winter? Monarch Mountain is about an hour's drive.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful tiny home with us! We had such a peaceful and relaxing time—being surrounded by nature and the quiet was exactly what we needed. Check in was seamless! The kitchen is filled with everything you need and even some extras. The home is filled with so many unique and thoughtful details. We especially loved the wood trim around the windows and baseboards, the soft curves of the poured concrete patio, and the charming mini pictures throughout. It’s clear a lot of care and intention went into every aspect. The hosts were incredibly attentive and helpful with all our questions, and we were so grateful to be able to stay an extra night! Some of our favorite moments were sipping coffee on the deck in the early morning, watching the hummingbirds and other birds fluttering around the flowers. The bed was super comfy, and all the linens and blankets were perfect—it really felt like a little piece of heaven. We’re already looking forward to coming back
