Park Avenue Lofts

This room is very close to the beach. There is plenty room for a group, WiFi, and a full kitchen. This property was convenient for my stay. It is also approximately 30 minutes from a large town with a shopping mall with a movie theater, and plenty of places to eat. There are some good places to eat and visit near the property as well.

Started out good. Ended like crap! The room was nice. It had some maintenance issues such as two light bulbs that were burned out. The refrigerator freezer leaked water into the lower compartment and looked to be beyond its service life. The small HVAC unit did not work. I assumed it was inoperable because I was left two space heaters and the remote seemed to do nothing. It was difficult taking a shower in the bathroom with out getting water all over the floor. If there would have been another shower curtain for the other side of the tub this would have not been an issue. The old downtown area of Freeport has some charm to it and seems very quiet and peaceful during the first part of the week. I stayed for four nights for work. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night was a completely different story. The so called pizza, bar, arcade joint across the square opens up on these nights and lord have mercy it is party central in the down town area. What really made my blood hot about my stay was the fact I could not sleep for two nights from 10PM TO 2AM because of the nightclub beat music that was blaring all night from across the road. Not to mention all the cars driving by with their boom boxes at full level all night. The room was decorated very nice and was comfortable despite the maintenance issues. I don’t know if the owners or the management are aware of the rave club atmosphere during the latter half of the week that goes on all night. My rating would have been been better if not for this issue.
